I caught this kind of by accident waiting for heroes to come on.It was surprisingly amusing. Not sure yet if I'll continue to watch it.
9/25/2007 8:41:57 AM
Ya I didn't think it was bad. I will watch it for awhile but I am not sure how long I will follow it.
9/25/2007 8:48:55 AM
if the rest of the season is similar to the first episode i might continue to watch.but i've seen a lot of shows go down the tubes after the season premeir
9/25/2007 8:58:42 AM
if it has anything going for it right now its the timeslot.
9/25/2007 9:08:15 AM
If they keep showing the super chick spy in her underwear I might continue watching it as well. There isn't much else on anyways except Monday Night Football. Luckily I can split my screen and watch two shows at once or DDR it at least.
9/25/2007 9:20:56 AM
Captain Awesome was pretty awesome.
9/25/2007 9:39:17 AM
9/25/2007 9:46:55 AM
I was kinda disappointed because from the previews I thought this would be an on-the-run type of show and thought if they could do that well it could be pretty good. When they started developing so much of his friends and his sister and stuff I realized it was going to end with a somewhat steady formula, which is probably safer but I was just hoping for something else.
9/25/2007 11:19:03 AM
It has real potential, but I was hoping for something a little more like Alias. It is still better than 70% of the shows on tv.
9/25/2007 11:45:54 AM
accidently caught the first half. had to change the channel cuz the plot was so rediculously stupid it hurt.
9/25/2007 12:02:57 PM
i watched it and thought it was ok...girl was definitely hot (see underwear scenes), but bad actress at timesthe "vicki vail" part at their work was awesome
9/25/2007 12:13:55 PM
I'd give this show a 7/10 after watching the pilot. The number of genres this show is trying to tackle seems audacious but I think it worked most of the time.
9/25/2007 2:20:49 PM
Using the word audacious to describe Chuck is audacious. All in all a solid pilot, I'll definitely watch when I'm waiting for Heroes to get on.
9/25/2007 2:27:22 PM
what i want to know is how exactly did his mind "download" all that shit? i mean come on.
9/25/2007 2:27:54 PM
I watched it last night but not on purpose. I was just waiting for other shows to come on. I would watch it again but it's not something i would put on my dvr list
9/25/2007 4:42:56 PM
so is this show a comedy or what
9/25/2007 5:17:47 PM
it's a dramedythe second-half of the season is supposed to pretty dark
9/25/2007 5:22:07 PM
it's the same writer and produce as the oc, so I added it to DVR
9/25/2007 5:34:32 PM
^ we watched it for the same reasonyou can see his influence in the cinematography and particularly in the music choicesnot a bad show at all, I'll keep watching
9/25/2007 7:55:51 PM
Just got around to watching this. DVR'd it and Journeyman on a whim when I set it up for Heroes. Going in I knew nothing about the show and hadn't seen, or couldn't remember, any previews for it. After watching it, I'm wondering how they'll continue the plot, and what the show will ultimately be about. The pilot set it up as a bumbling store clerk, turned super spy/sleuth who uses the "secrets" of the CIA and NSA to stop crimes. When the secrets were stolen, the computer was destroyed, so his knowledge is limited to everything that happened up to that point right? So wouldn't that hamper things a bit as they get farther and farther from that point in time? Two years from now is he still going to be able to rely on the information to put things together? All in all i thought it was ok, and will probably keep up with it for a little while just to see where its going.
9/25/2007 11:10:16 PM
^ i thought the exact same thing after watching it - if he knew about a specific bomb at a location with specific people - then the events that the information would be applicable to must be somewhat limited
9/25/2007 11:12:39 PM
I think it's something about him specifically that he can take that much raw information and see connections, so maybe once he's proven himself to be useful they'll talk about uploading him with more info. Also I think I would ask for some asskicking training, I hope they let him develop into kicking more ass for himself and not just reliant on Jayne and Hot Chick all the time...not that I'd want them to go away either.
9/26/2007 10:04:34 AM
Jayne?? You mean Jayne of Jaynestown is in this show? I was thinking about watching it, but I have too many other shows lining up my DVR
9/26/2007 11:41:51 AM
Yup Jayne is in this show...looks like he could be channelling some cowboy badass as well.
9/26/2007 11:45:22 AM
Yeah the fun connection is that he plays a NSA agent...X-files anyone?
9/27/2007 10:02:18 AM
oh shit, did anyone else catch Chuck talking about oceanic flight 815 (the flight from LOST) when he's in the home theater room?
10/1/2007 9:53:08 PM
this show is really starting to suck - it's like the newer charlie's angels movies on tv kinda
10/1/2007 9:55:53 PM
Out of curiousity, how far can this show go on in theory..I mean he downloaded all of the NSAs and CIAs knowledge...big deal. New updates, threats etc..and Chuck will be absolutely no use.
10/1/2007 9:58:06 PM
^ this was kind of discussed already in this thread - maybe they will give him more information because they have realized he has this ability that nobody else has...but yes as of now the show is limited by that
10/1/2007 10:01:41 PM
yeah i mean the 1st one was a good show
10/1/2007 10:07:53 PM
i like this show, its simple and a good way to spend the hour before heroes
10/1/2007 10:28:14 PM
i saw about 15 minutes somewhere in the middle, so i wasn't really up to speed on who seemed to want Chuck dead this week. but.... is this show supposed to be funny? Last week it seems like they did a good job of straddling the drama vs. comedy, but from what I saw this week, it just looked like a really cheesy action show
10/1/2007 11:10:11 PM
Tawaitt, yes I caught that watching the episode online this morning. He said "Oceanic Flight 815 was shot down by..." and it runs off.
10/2/2007 8:36:21 AM
i was turned off very quickly this week. it looks like its back to How I Met Your Mother on Mondays @ 8
10/2/2007 9:12:06 AM
^I agree, I have been watching that and Big Bang Theory on Monday nights, and then catch Chuck online in my spare time.
10/2/2007 9:26:33 AM
saw BBT for the first time, i like the premise but the nerds/geeks are way too over the top.
10/2/2007 9:35:50 AM
What are they putting in the water in Canada Austrailia?[Edited on October 2, 2007 at 9:59 AM. Reason : she sure sounds Canadian]
10/2/2007 9:56:58 AM
Best new show of the season so far. It's gotten better and better with each episode.
10/10/2007 9:34:13 AM
they're gonna draw out the "relationship" as long as they fucking canI like Chuck, something fun to watch before Heroes
10/10/2007 9:45:55 AM
Something for me. The show is fun. Nothing more than that. But they sure do love indie rock on this show. Spoon, Band of Horses, and National all in one show.
10/10/2007 2:40:04 PM
^they had the shins at the end of the first episode
10/10/2007 2:44:13 PM
10/10/2007 2:53:31 PM
is it me, or is chuck just a little too 'close' with his sister?? I watched it for the first time tonight, and i figured she was his girlfriend... apparently not.
10/22/2007 9:05:16 PM
i don't like the freeze frame they did during the fighting
10/22/2007 9:27:54 PM
UHH i kinda feel the same way w/ my sis, parents pretty much let us fend for ourselves @8&15
10/22/2007 10:05:20 PM
you feel like your sister is your girlfriend?
10/23/2007 2:41:35 AM
saw a little bit of it tonight before the game... it was alright, but im not sure it's worth missing football.
10/23/2007 3:07:07 AM
I really dig this show, and:
10/23/2007 8:20:28 AM
hahaha, Chuck uses The Arcade Fire to seduce girlsawww
10/29/2007 7:13:29 PM
I think his sister on the show would play a great Wonder Woman. Doesn't she look like a young Lynda Carter?
10/30/2007 10:51:26 AM
