I liked it better the first time i saw it....... when it was called Quantum Leap. OMG AM I RITE? I BET NOBODY THOUGHT OF THAT YET!actually, i haven't seen it yet....
9/24/2007 9:28:41 PM
nope pretty sure you're the first person to compare it to Quantum Leap
9/24/2007 10:03:30 PM
my wife doesn't remember Quantum Leap. apparently she missed the 80's.
9/24/2007 10:10:45 PM
Just show your wife that picture
9/24/2007 10:11:36 PM
loli was thinking more along the lines of Early Edition or some shit like that
9/24/2007 10:13:07 PM
The iPhone doesn't have service in 1992 San Francisco!!
9/24/2007 10:23:57 PM
its Kellerman from Homicide..that was a good show.
9/24/2007 10:29:30 PM
lotta hot chicks in their underwear on NBC tonight
9/24/2007 10:40:16 PM
wait..so his old gf is a time traveler too?
9/24/2007 10:41:38 PM
holy shit this just got interesting.
9/24/2007 10:41:40 PM
of course there has to be an Also.... when he travels, does he get younger?no, i guess not, because in 1988 he would be 20 years younger.... but that would make it tricky for him to interact with people 7 years ago
9/24/2007 10:49:24 PM
wow...random
9/24/2007 10:55:04 PM
9/24/2007 10:56:59 PM
I liked it.
9/24/2007 10:58:57 PM
nbc has just locked me up on monday for 3 straight hours
9/24/2007 10:59:11 PM
how was chuck? I was watching prison break.btwI hated chuck when i first saw it, but then it was called Jake 2.0[Edited on September 24, 2007 at 11:02 PM. Reason : a]
9/24/2007 11:01:04 PM
yeah, i was about to say, NBC did good. I don't know if Chuck or Journeyman are going to be blockbusters, but they are entertaining bookends to Heros.
9/24/2007 11:19:50 PM
chuck is weak. i want to see the dude from journeyman pull out a sword and chop someone's head off.Journeyman = Early Edition
9/24/2007 11:28:59 PM
So how is it that he doesn't look 10-20 yrs older to his friends/family when he interacts with them in the past?PS - Hearing Lucius Vorenus with an American accent is WEEEEEEEIRD[Edited on September 24, 2007 at 11:31 PM. Reason : ]
9/24/2007 11:31:10 PM
the only time he directly interacted with his family/friends in the past was in 1999 (or was it 1997.....).So... "only" 10 years younger then. But yeah, the point stands. They didn't make any effort to try to make the 1999 version look any younger, and somehow the 2007 version was able to walk right into the group and nobody noticed his clothes or his aging or anything. At first I was thinking he would get/look younger when he goes back, but of course that wouldn't work for very long before he got too young. Plus, he already went back to the late 80's the first time and he was definitely the same age. Running into yourself in the past just creates too many paradoxes. I am guessing (hoping?) they will stay away from that plot-line in the future. Of course, unless the season culminates in trying to prevent his ex-wife/fiance's death or something
9/25/2007 1:25:09 AM
^He meet his ex in the staircase and she said she never got on the plane. She apparently can time travel, as well. Like I said, Early Edition rehash with a conspiracy thrown in.[Edited on September 25, 2007 at 1:35 AM. Reason : quantum leap jsadlkfjsadkljfsal;]
9/25/2007 1:29:11 AM
Well yeah that was this episode but I would expect that throughout future episodes he is going to encounter his brother, wife, and ex-gf at various points in time and he's gonna look exactly the same age for all of them. It's too big of a plot hole to not address though, so maybe whatever "force" sends him back in time creates some kind of psychic field to make him look younger. That would mean that he is only limited to time travel within the past ~30 years before he ends up as a kid though.
9/25/2007 9:37:59 AM
yeah, at some point i was kind of expecting him to look in a mirror and see a younger guy or something. i still say it just makes things way too complicated if he is allowed to interact with his past self and people who know him.
9/25/2007 9:43:09 AM
i really like this showi did love quantum leap as well though ] ]
9/25/2007 10:33:08 AM
good episode so far
10/1/2007 10:50:03 PM
i really like this showbut if there isn't some sort of overarching purpose to his time traveling, it's gonna lose steam quickly
10/1/2007 10:52:15 PM
i like this show too, i dont know if it will lose steam that quickly. Its nice to have a show that doesn't have some deep intertwined plot that makes missing one episode impossible to make up.
10/1/2007 11:00:17 PM
not bad, but seems like they are writing the show on autopilot.

10/1/2007 11:16:54 PM
10/1/2007 11:39:25 PM
Well I guess they are just gonna have to keep having him sneak around. I'm glad that they addressed the "counterfeit" $20 bill, I was beginning to wonder about that. Also, was it me or was the cop that chased him in 1995 his brother?
10/2/2007 9:19:05 AM
brother[Edited on October 2, 2007 at 9:34 AM. Reason : it was]

I'm watching for Kellerman.(Calling him by a Homicide character's name is a lot beter than Reed fucking Diamond.)[Edited on October 2, 2007 at 8:17 PM. Reason : What was he thinking?]
10/2/2007 8:16:24 PM
Its totally quantum leap but I love it. Will watch again.
10/2/2007 11:53:47 PM
they addressed it in the first episode too.his ex commented on him looking tired. he said he had a long week.
10/3/2007 9:15:48 AM
can't hold a candle to quantum leap
10/3/2007 9:59:17 AM
i liked the second episode as well - i'm starting to think that maybe there is something that is controlling who gets saved/helped - as if in an alternate universe this is what happened and it worked out well so you should fix it in your universe as welli am also interested to find out where livia is really living or if she hops all the time now
10/3/2007 10:03:39 AM
Yeah, I really liked the episode this week. I'm still a little confused about what the hell all this jumping and saving people thing is supposed to be accomplishing. I'll keep watching.
10/3/2007 10:20:57 AM
10/3/2007 11:27:47 AM
well that phone call was interesting
10/15/2007 10:55:59 PM
yeah - some sort of hole with phone calls? i'd like some explanation on it but i doubt we'll get one - it was probably just setting up the possibility for it to happen in case they want to use it later - or in case they already decided to and just needed way to make it believable in this world
10/15/2007 10:57:04 PM
it has nothing to do with the phonedid you miss that it was dr. timetravel on the other line?
10/15/2007 11:00:01 PM
Different time, different phone number, etc..and he got a call
10/15/2007 11:59:24 PM
not necessarily a different numberbut i got the impression that dr. timetravel was also in 1997 when he placed the callor maybe dr. timetravel has a multi-dimensional cell phone plan
10/16/2007 12:02:08 AM
maybe one of the writers is just a dr. who fan
10/16/2007 12:05:15 AM
ok i thought last night's episode was really good but I was let down at the end. Why did he have to save the girl, yeah she was gonna go down for murder but so what...they never gave us a reason to need her in the future. That was one thing that really got on my nerves. I wanted to know why she was so special, i'm glad they were able to help her out and all but nothing about her future self made a difference or was explained.
10/16/2007 7:41:44 AM
^ wtf was special about the baby born on the plane? nothing, he doesn't neccessarily seem to be saving important people
10/18/2007 5:42:59 PM
the baby on the plane helped out that other dude waiting for a transplant match.
