Why do people buy multiple guns?
10/1/2007 9:46:52 AM
you dont have a plan unless you have a backup plan
10/1/2007 10:49:26 AM
same reason people own multiples of anything, because they enjoy them and they fit different needs.my squirrel rifle doesn't make a very effective deer gun and i can't use my deer gun during muzzleloader season, none of them work on dove or turkey, and I'm going to have a hell of a time concealing an 870 pump.also, like buying a car of finding a woman, sometimes you've got to go through a lot to find the one you really like.

Well said

exactlyi thought that was self evident, but i guess not.even within a smaller category of guns, like pistols, you could easily own several without having redundant capability. I mean, you could have a .22LR target pistol, a T/C or large revolver for hunting, a concealable tactical pistol for carry, etc. and maybe you want a full frame 1911 just because you like them, or because you want to compete with it in a match. maybe if you have enough money and really like guns, you'd even want a couple of different carry pistols...a REALLY small one for the summer, and a more moderate sized one for the winter. You could pretty easily have 2-3 pistols, and 4, 5, or 6 if you had money and guns were your thing.when you start talking rifles and shotguns, too (not to mention muzzleloaders and stuff), it just opens up even more.

why do women have more than one pair of shoes?
10/1/2007 3:03:42 PM
^you're saying you need to coordinate your gun with your outfit?
10/1/2007 3:09:33 PM
to conceal, sometimes yes. you can't hide a full size 45 in the summer w/ shorts and a t shirt very easy. at the same time in the winter you want to carry something a little more substaintial to go thru heavy coats. (yes a heavy coat esp leather can make a differance)
