about shannon being temporary/long-term at Miami - he's not going anywhere. They had an article in the Denver Post about him before the Oklahoma game last week - he's been on the staff there for like 17 years.

he's true miami native, loves the school - the only one from his family to ever go to college...etc. The U is his dream job... and he seems like a good guy. I hope he suceeds there.

I was at the game last night, celebrating my birthday.

The wife of Miami Offensive Coordinator, Patrick Nix, went into labor last night in the middle of the game.

The Orange Bowl was the loudest I've seen it since the 2004 Miami/FSU game. It was really hyped up and loud. Hopefully this means the Canes are back.

he'll get at least 3 years... maybe more... the whole reason behind promoting him instead of going for a big name seemed to be to promote stability within the program, and it's hard to do that by quickly canning the coach...

only way he's out sooner is if there's a monumental collapse, or discipline continues to go down.
