So I had a couple problems with my old laptop, mainly blue screen errors (got better with a fresh install), and ended up ordering a new laptop. My question for you people is what should I be asking for the old laptop.Specs:Dell Inspiron 6000DBought it December 2004Intel Pentium M Processor 730 (1.6GHz/2MB Cache/533MHz FSB)15.4 inch WXGA LCD Panel1 GB DDR2, 400 MHz (2 Dimms)64 MB ATI Mobility Radeon X300 Video Card60 GB Hard DriveI have a LEGAL copy of XP Pro (will do a fresh install before selling)(I also have all the drivers saved somewhere for you too)8X DVD+/-RW DriveIntel PRO Wireless 2915 (802.11 a/b/g, 54Mbps)53 WHr 6-cell Lithium Ion BatteryHow much should I ask for it, knowing I had problems with blue screen errors? I figured someone could take it, figure out whats wrong, and fix it, but my knowledge didnt mean that would happen.Give me your advice, thanks.

well if the laptop is reformatted, you should be fine with the errors, which is no big deal I'd say $200, maybe? Thats probably top price[Edited on September 18, 2007 at 12:56 AM. Reason : ]

you should probably figure out what's wrong with it.first checks are HDD and RAM.Download a Hiren's Boot CD and start running tests.

If it's nothing irreparable and it has a fresh install, I'd say that it could definitely get more than $200 on Craigslist. Seriously, I'd think closer to $4-500 depending on overall quality. Here...not so much.

^^^ I second that. If you are getting blue screens even after a fresh install, you probably have some hardware issue.

I just sold an Inspiron 6000 with almost identical specs to that one for $300.

^I havent used it much since I got the new laptop, but the frequency of the errors was much less. At its worst point it was atleast every other day, but with a fresh install, it was down to maybe one every other week or so.

^I'm past the stage of trying to figure out whats wrong....I'm just going to sell it as is.

In that case, I'll give you $150 for it considering you still have a hardware issue.[Edited on September 18, 2007 at 4:59 PM. Reason : ...assuming you're in/near Raleigh]
