They're 1 bedroom only. My old roommate and I actually looked at those for Jr. year, but they're kind of pricey and like I said, 1 bedroom only. No idea what it looks like inside. Looks pretty cool from a distance, but once you actually get out of your car you can tell they're old as Methuselah's balls.

ivy commons is okay, but i'm a little sick of my roommate smoking pot in her room and having it stink up the entire place. i'm probably going to break the lease.are you sure every one of them is 1BR?
9/16/2007 6:15:31 PM
Pretty sure. It was a quite a while ago though.

Tell her she needs to open a window and put one of those square area fans blowing outward when she smokes up.

Hardwood floors, cozy stairwells, parking lot in the back, and cool folks live there. With that said, it's one of those places you definitely have to appreciate for what it is.

i went to a dance party there.that kinda summed up the building for me right there.

The building is called The Wilmont, by the way, and was built in the late 1920's.I considered living there, but the fact that it doesn't have central A/C was a problem. Cool old building and great location though.

Is that the one with the mannequin on one of the balconies?that thing makes me laugh.

they are not all 1 bedroom only. i almost lived in a 2 bedroom apartment there this semester, but found a better place on douglas st. the rooms are pretty spacious, you'll need a window unit though. they are super cheap.. the place we were looking at was $600 a month for a 2br which included water/heat.

I did my time at the Wilmont for about 2 years. That place was the shit. Funky as hell, with all the ups and downs therein, but that place has some character(s).There ain't nothing like those old-school radiators on a cold morning, especially since heat was included in the rent. We'd actually have to keep one of them turned off most of the time or the place would be a sauna.

^^^^OMG!! That's insane! I dunno, I might still check into them.
