Why do you even keep making these stupid NCCU threads?here's a summary of every thread you make about NCCU:Wolfood98 "go NCCU!! blah blah blah"20 other posts "nobody cares about NCCU"

The only time I'll care about Central is when they play at Wallace-Wade against Duke, have more fans in attendance than the I-A team, and just might win.
9/12/2007 11:06:16 PM
if Duke beat NCCU, i would send him a PM about it everyday from then till forever
9/12/2007 11:08:25 PM
Hmm..let's see maybe b/c last season they were 11-1 in 2005, they were 10-3.... they're transitioning to 1-AA, to hopefully get into the Big South conference with Appalachian State..EVENTHOUGH ..we're about 2-3 seasons from getting some of the speed at RB, and depth at )-line that App. State has...but Rison and his kick ass recruiting class will get us going in the right direction. -Good luck Taylor Grey in taking over Special Teams and kicking duties now that Brandon Gilbert has been loss for the season due to injury. THANK GOD Moose recruited a solid punter/kicker in the off-season to replace All-American kicker B. Gilbert! GO NCCU EAGLES! WOO-HOOO!
9/12/2007 11:09:34 PM
Duke and NCCU are going to play one another sometime between the 2008-2010 football season. OurAthletic Director made that announcement after heavy pressure from the NCCU student body that we wanted to play Duke in sports other than mens/womens basketball and cross country. It would be THE ONLY time Walllace-Wade stadium is filled to capacity by fans from the city of Durham!

for starters App State is in the Southern Conference, not the Big South. And if NCCU wants to be competitive on a consistent basis at the 1AA level then they need keep improving on their special teams play. I do believe they're kicker is hurt which is a big blow to them especially seeing as how a majority of HBCU's are horrendous when it comes to the kicking game. Other than that I hope they do well in their transition. It makes sense that they would join the MEAC but it would be refreshing for them to join the Big South. There's no way in hell they are going to join the Southern Conference, that's like the SEC in 1AA football. other than that keep making your threads because they are relevant to local sports and as a fan of collegiate athletics you can never get too much.
9/13/2007 12:11:35 PM
Centrals kicker is a local white kid from Graham if I'm not mistaken which is cool. But if NCCU were to join the MEAC who from the MEAC would leave? has FAMU received clearance to become 1A yet or are they still in limbo?
9/13/2007 12:15:26 PM
The MEAC keeps giving Central the run around b/c even when we were a Div. II squad we consistently made a mockery of NC A &T, and those VA/DC area schools which are in the MEAC. I just think the Big South would be better b/c it would push our entire sports program to elevate our facilities to the level of the of the other Big South Teams such as Charleston Southern and Coastal Carolina. The Big South schools offer every sport which NCCU already has, and the Eagles would be very competitive in all of them EXCEPT Men/Women's golf (yes, NCCU has a co-ed golf team). Thanks for the correction in regards to App. State's conference, and your right about App. State blowing my Eagles out of the water-but I figure if you want to be the best you have to play the best and right now ASU is it. But I def. agree with alot of what you stated in your post man.
9/13/2007 6:50:37 PM
^Yeah, 188287 our All-American kicker is injured, and the guy from Orange High School which they recruited Taylor Grey, has a solid leg-so he'll do fine at extra kicking duties. We've been averaging about 44-46 yards on our punts, and with this new guy Im not sure what his range is as far as kicking field goals is concerned. If it were not for a family obligation this weekend, I would be at Giant's stadium this wknd to watch them take on Elizabeth City!

Update on N.C. Central's game against Elizabeth City State this past weekend____________________________________________________________________ EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J.- The Eagles held a 12-7 lead at intermission before pulling away in the second half with an 18- 10 win at the New York Urban League/Whitney Young Classic at Giants Stadium. The Vikings fell behind 6-0 after ECSU’s Antwain Pless fumbled from the 1-yard line, and allowing Eagles senior corner back Craig Amos to recover and score the Eagles first touchdown of the game with 6:01 left in the opening quarter. In the second quarter, a muffed punt by NCCU’s Brandon Alston was recovered by ECSU’s Jeff Baker, giving the Vikings good field position on the Eagles 17-yard line. The Eagles defense appeared to hold ECSU to a three and out, but a costly pass interference penalty against the Eagles on third-and-14 gave the Vikings a first-and-goal at NCCU’s 6-yard line. Two plays later, Jerome Smith rushed six yards to the end zone and gave the Vikings there only lead of the game, 7-6, with 7:35 remaining before intermission. On the ensuing possession with Stadford Brown at the helm, the Eagles answered with a 12-play, 65-yard scoring drive when Brown hooked up with wideout Wayne Blackwell for a 9-yard touchdown with 2:03 on the clock. The extra point was blocked, but the Eagles regained the lead at halftime. The fourth quarter was all Eagles ... well Tim Shankle. Shankle rushed for 23 of the Eagles’ 50 yards during an eight-play scoring drive, including a two-yard touchdown (NCCU's first rushing TD of the season), to help the Eagles pull away 18-7 with 10:07 left in the fourth quarter. With 3:50 remaining in the game, NCCU’s defense stopped the Vikings at the 8-yard line and ECSU was forced to settle for a 26-yard field goal by Daniel Mendez. Shankle, who finished with a game-high 116 ground yards and a touchdown on 24 carries, was named the Whitney Young Classic Offensive Most Valuable Player, while Amos, who scored a touchdown on a fumble recovery, intercepted a pass, collected a team-best six tackles (four solo) and deflected four other passes, was voted as the Whitney Young Classic Defensive Most Valuable Player.NCCU (3-1) outgained ECSU (0-3) 192 total yards to 145, with each team passing for 103 yards. The Viking defense was topped by Jeremy Carthen with a game-high 15 tackles (seven solo), including 1.5 hits for a loss.

N.C. Central(3-1) vs. NC A & T(0-3) on 9/22 at 6:30pm: This game matches up one of NCCU's oldest rivalries within the state, as the Eagles of NCCU and the Aggies of N.C. A &T do battle on the grid-iron in Greensboro, NC. A&T has the longest losing streak of allthe Division 1 schools and after Saturday, Central will look to make the Aggies 0-4!This will be N.C. Central's first game of the season against a Division 1 opponent since reclassifying from a Div. II school to a Div. 1AA school. GO EAGLES!

THREE-GAME WIN STREAKS IN NORTH CAROLINA: Only two NCAA Division I football teams in the state of North Carolina are currently riding three-game win streaks – North Carolina Central University and Appalachian State University. Of course, the Mountaineers shocked the world with a historic upset victory over Michigan (34-32) three weeks ago, then defeated Lenoir-Rhyne (48-7) and Northern Arizona (34-21). The Eagles posted back-to-back shutouts in wins over Fayetteville State (17-0) and St. Augustine’s (6-0), then defeated Elizabeth City State (18-10) during the Whitney Young Classic inside Giants Stadium. "Interesting article I found in reference to the only D1 teams in NC on this type of streak..Keep it up Eagles!"

NCCU 14 NC A & T 9 with 48 seconds left in the 2nd Qtr! GO EAGLES!!!! I know the Aggies scored on a safety against us...it would be better if this game was televised since it's one of NC's biggest rivalries!! GO EAGLES WOO-HOO!

IM going to continue posting about NCCU since Im in grad school here...dont get pissy b/c NCSU is having a shitty year and N.C. Central is actually playing well..just deal with it you fucking panzies..now moving onto to my story: Congrats on having the longest winning streak of any D-1 school in the state of NC, now that Appalachian lost today to Wofford. NCCU beat N.C. A & T 27-22, in what I hear was one hell of a game.Central, we still need to work on our special teams, since our All American kicker/punter Brandon Gilbert is still out with a pulled groin, but Taylor is a freshmen so he's expected to make mistakes..Great job Eagles of playing kick ass in a hostile environment in Greensboro! The NCCU victory takes us to 4-1 on the season and drops the Aggies of NC A & T to (0-4). Great win coaches, staff, and players!! Glad we have a home game next Saturday!

A few bad apples does not make up a whole team, and yes the NCCU Eagles are quite classy...A CLASSY 4-1 on the season!

I guess NCCU doesn't have a message board. Its funny you keep posting shit about NCCU and everybody says they don't care. Maybe you should try live journal instead.

Even-though North Greenville University is a Division II squad, the past 4 seasons they have been a power house under their current coach. I expect the stadium to be extremely packed, and the Athletics Department has brought in extra seating for an additional 4, 000 fans who have purchased tickets. Come early and enjoy the good match-up, the kick ass halftime show, and the plethora of great food which will be sold through-out the stadium. GO EAGLES!!

10/13/2007 1:15:41 AM
I do have something to add... You maintain NCCU's greatness on many fronts... I want to know if they have achieved that critical mass where they are capable of creating an internet message board, and if so why you don't talk about NCCU football there where people presumably care about it.
10/13/2007 1:35:49 AM
OH YEAH BEARDAWG61....N.C. Central won their football game this past weekend vs. North Greenville Univ. 17-14. I know how you love following the Eagles...oh and by the way. My Eagles are 5-2. The AD would of mailed you a game ticket but the game was sold out so he didnt bother

Congrats to the Eagles of North Carolina Central for blasting Savannah State University(GA) 30-14. I hear Taylor Gray from Orange High School in Hillsborough had a big day and that NCCU QB Stadford Brown threw for over 200 yards. The Eagles currently sit at 5-2, and currently have the 2nd best record of any 2007 NC college football program behind Appalachian State University! Forte, I dont ever remember seeing you're name on an NCSU jersey..could it be b/c you're short as fuck, I enjoy reading you're weekly ignorance on my topics-it proves how sad of a social life you really have. I cant help it the cool kids in Bragaw won't play with you, or that you didnt get invited to the latest Sigmi Chi party...dont cry..things WILL EVENTUALLy get better little guy.. GO NCCU EAGLES!
