wow, so there are, what, 119 1-A QB's and these guys ranked 100 of them?

that definitely wasnt a waste of time

Wait Ryan at #57? What are they thinking? I know he didn't have an outstanding game against us (something like 142 yards passing, 1 TD, 1 INT), but that 408 yard 5 TD performance against Wake Forest more than makes up for it.

its by QB rating...however that is calculated.

there may be 119 D1 schools, but if you threw 15 passes you were eligible for this list. So there is possibly more than 119 QBs

sure if by "these guys" you mean the NCAA and how their system stores player stats.

^well they only have so many ways they sort the data that go to just qb's

Completions per game:
http://web1.ncaa.org/d1mfb/natlRank.jsp?year=2007&div=4&rpt=IA_playerpass&site=org

Total passing Yards:
http://web1.ncaa.org/d1mfb/natlRank.jsp?year=2007&div=4&rpt=IA_playerpassyards&site=org

Passing yards per game:
http://web1.ncaa.org/d1mfb/natlRank.jsp?year=2007&div=4&rpt=IA_playerpassyardsgame&site=org

all D-1A stats can be found here:

^ok i admit i didnt click on the link

the thread topic made it seem as if it was some guy's rankings. the passer rating isnt necessarily a ranking of the best qb's, just who has done well so far/had easy competition/etc

so i guess my new complaint is

threadworthy??

i would assume it would be threadworthy as im pretty sure it is updated...so you can keep track of ACC, and QBs of interest.

but maybe thats just me.

yeah last I heard the tarholes were in the same situation as we were with having several great highschool quarterbacks. Maybe they actually had one that stepped up!

^ No, if you would have read the "as of week 2" part, you'd realize this is outdated.

Granted, now Yates is #28 and no NCSU QB is in the top 100.

graham harrell for hiesman...

31 tds to 3 ints...over 3k in yards...i know its a product of the system...but those are crazy numbers even for that system.

I would rather see him get it than Colt Brennan.

Never seen anyone get so much love that doesn't really deserve it.

He is not that damn good.

Evans for Heisman? Seriously, how can a Heisman Trophy candidate be the 50th most efficient passer in CFB?

tebow ftw.. and i think pat white needs to get some pub... i didn't realize his passer rating was so high on top of his awesome ground game...

^^^ thats probably because he doesn't throw a lot, and when he does he doesn't throw downfield very often.

Not to say he doesn't throw the ball well, he does, its just that most of his throw are those shorter high percentage passes.

That is true... I'm actually surprised they don't let him throw vertical more often. He has a really strong and accurate arm. I think their WRs are just better at taking the slants then beating fast corners...

btw, the Anaheim Angels are insanely obsessed with Pat White. Drafted him TWICE now...

Quote :
"Drafted - Selected by Anaheim Angels in 4th Round (113rd overall) of 2004 amateur entry draft (June-Reg) ... Selected by Los Angeles Angels in 27th Round (838th overall) of 2007 amateur entry draft (June-Reg) "
