Why in God's name are they protesting outside of a PHOENIX Applebee's when the one that didn't allow breastfeeding was in LEXINGTON?

There was a 6 page thread in the lounge about this topic over teh summer. The issue isn't breast feeding in public which i have no problem with. The issue is rather or not it is appropriate to do so at the dinner table at a sit down restaurant. People paying $50 on a meal with a date or out with a dinner party do not want to see some fat bitch in the table next to them whip her tits out and let her kid start going to town.It is something called manners. Disregarding the fact that you shouldn't be taking an infant to a nice sit down restaurant. You would not fart, pick your nose, have a loud conversation about banging your girlfriend, eat a sloppy meal with your hands. I think breast feeding fits into this category. Go in the bathroom or out to the car or better yet not bring yoru baby to the fucking restaurant. I do not want to be eating my $20 steak and have to hear your little brat crying at another table

Need I remind anyone that it is Grizzlebee's that we are talking about. They don't even set the table. It's glorified fast food.

I'm not the most couth person on the planet, but breastfeeding your child in public is tactless, mannerless, trashy, and fucking disgusting. Is it that much trouble to do it in the car on the way there? in the bathroom while you wait for your food? jesus I'm glad in my time of working in restaurants I've never seen this.

There is a certain way to handle it. Breastfeeding your child at the dinner table, no, that's not how you handle it. Some people out there are disturbed by it, including me. I don't want to see some woman that I don't know whip out her boob and have her kid start sucking on it.Besides the blanket over the boob is good for you child too. Infants like to feel very safe and secure while they are nursing. Wrapping a blanket around them and then over them (over your boob) you're allowing them to feel cozy and safe, which will make the feeding process a lot easier for both.

Jesus Christ. To all those who think that breastfeeding in a public restroom is a good idea: WTF?You wouldn't eat in there, why would you expect an infant (with an underdeveloped immune system no less) to eat there. There's nothing wrong with breastfeeding in public. It's better than hearing an infant scream at the top of its lungs because it's hungry.
9/11/2007 12:38:37 PM
how about we just let mom stay at home until the kid's off the tit. that would solve many a problem.
9/11/2007 12:40:12 PM
i just don't know how babies got fed in years past when people knew certain things were inappropriate in public

There is nothing wrong with breastfeeding in public if people don't see it.....wrap it up in a blanket!
9/11/2007 7:25:44 PM
we had countless moms at disney, and there is nothing more awkward than going up to a table with someone blanketless breast feeding. I had a mom actually ask me to take a picture with her like that- "just stand behind me honey, im in the middle of this." Usually the servers were really good with making them keep it wrapped up. I don't understand what the problem is with using a blanket or large napkin.
