So I don't have any experience using unlocked phones, really want to stay with alltel, but they have poor phone selection, loving some of cingular phones, any way to use cingular nokia phones with alltel?

to expound on what others have already said in this thread:
Cingular= GSM
Alltel= CDMA
2 entirely different types of cell networks which are not compatible...can't do it mang...

Unlocking a phone refers to being able to use for example a Cingular branded phone with a T-mobile sim card.
