Mission valley service in western Blvd is asking 180$ to replace it in my 1996 Honda civic...I have already given 240$ just to replace downstream O2 sensor to the same person this week Ifeel he is charging me too much...Please help me out......

mission valley is a decent shop. you might be paying a little more than you could get it done somewhere else, but they do good work and it'll be right. if it's not, they'll fix it.

last dones I replaced were in a 95 accord . . . payed about $70 for both from a place in fayettnam. Of course that was me taking em out and putting the new ones in.

^And obviously this person has ALL the tools required to swap CV axles in a Honda. It's not an easy jerb. 180 bux is not what I would call exhorbitant by any means. You can get it done cheaper (by about 30 dolla) if you can find one of those joints that only does CV axles. My advice is to just go ahead and get it done.

Car shit is NOT cheap. And neither are the tools that the shop has to have to replace them.
