Didn't Furman beat UNC a couple years ago in CH? It does happen. But when a team like Michigan who was favored to be very good this year (preseason top 5 and BCS contention) should not lose to the best II-A school. Chalk it up to bad coaching for Michigan or great coaching by App.

Michigan has the top pick at high school recruits, better athletic facilities, and more money to throw into their program than App.

No instantly. They probably do get some better recruits than they were getting the previous years but the everyday competition that Troy and Conn are playing isn't the Big-Ten. They should be able to beat a team like Duke or Buffalo.
