can this be done any other way than through the control panel? I need a dos or recovery console solution.Basically i need to create a new user as a workaround to a corrupted user account. I cannot use safe mode because i just finished a windows XP repair. This means XP needs to activate, and wont do so in safe mode.and F/R isn't an option.

net use would work in home. But as far as i know theres no way to add a user from the recovery console. If the computer will boot up to a login prompt, then you can try adding a new user from another computer. Just point the users and groups MMC pluggin at your busted computer and login.
