Looking at buying this bike and selling my 600rr. Really just trying to find a bike that will be more comfortable to ride with my wife on the back, as well as longer distances. At the same time I would like to carry over as many of the "sport" characteristics of the CBR as possible. The one im looking at is pretty much in mint shape. 3500 miles, kind of a dark candy blue. Gave it a short test drive earlier, seems to be powerful enough (1200 duh). Handling isnt great but better than a cruiser. Brakes leave something to be desired, but from what ive read thats fairly easy to remedy.Has anyone else had any experience with this bike? Currently they are asking $7500 which to me is just a bit high given the KBB of roughly $7000. But the bike really is in perfect shape.Had thought about doing this for a while just hadnt seen anything that i liked. Cruisers are out, generally just too big, dumb, and slow. Any real drawbacks with the carbuerated engine vs the EFI besides the obvious cold starts, and warming up and such? Thanks for the help.
