I need some reccomendations for good places to go for dinner and brunch. If this makes a difference, it will be a group of 7, middle to late 20's.

Thanks!

Jordan's Seafood restaurant.

Actually, it isn't very good but everytime we go to EI we eat there. I guess its become more of a tradition/habit

^You mean Riverside. If so, that's usually pretty good.

Icehouse in downtown Swansboro is decent sometimes.

I like the Red Barn in Bear Creek for lunch.

channel marker is ok...no THAT great

go to squatters or frost or somewhere near indian beach, thats where the good places are as they are the old original places.

the pizza place isnt bad either by the food lion at EI.

Bushwhackers is ok for the whole on the beach experience.

red barn is the shit.

also, the cedar station on between swansboro and EI (i think its in a BP) is the shit for hangovers.

also, yana's in swansboro is the shit. i know yana and her kids, real good group of ppl.

best place to eat on the island itself is Flipperz

go to Swansboro and eat at the Icehouse Waterfront or at Riverside. There aren't any decent restaurants on the island.

lies. it's shit. don't eat there.

jordan's is okay if you just want plain fried food. they have great hushpuppies.

that is not emerald isle, that's cape carteret. it's michaelangelo's and there's one in emerald isle at emerald plantation (same shopping center as food lion).

do not go to bushwacker's. sure it's on the pier but the food is not that good, portions are small, and they over charge the hell out of it.

rucker john's can be okay, but lots of tourists eat there so it gets crowded fast. they have the BEST honey butter croissants though.

icehouse in swansboro gets my vote. so does flipperz in EI (near CVS). we always eat at big oak drive-in in salter path. they have great oyster & shrimp burgers. so does el's drive-in in morehead city. kathrine's martini bar (same little strip mall as To The Beat, the scooter rental place, and a real estate office) is also very very good, but pricey (but worth it).

Here's what you do. Go to Cap'n Willis' seafood market....buy the fresh stuff plus they have fixing and spices to go along....take it back to your beachhouse....along with the extra beer you can buy from the money you saved from not going to a restraunt..
