I have two dogs (a golden retriever and malamut mix). I travel for my job, typically M-F or less. I had a situation setup where a friend kept my dogs while I was out of town. This fell through and I will likely need someone to come over and let my dogs out on occassion. Can anyone refer anyone?

I petsit on weekends for friends and referrals. Weekdays are hard because I'm gone from 6:15 am - 4 pm or later. My dogs have a doggy door to let themselves in and out. I will watch dogs for people and keep them in my house as long as they are UTD, fixed and well socialized with other dogs. They must be housetrained and/or cratetrained. My dogs do fantastic with puppies and young dogs. They get along with older dogs as long as they aren't dominant.good luck.try looking on craigslist. there are always a few people advertising pet sitting services.

Anyone interested in dog sitting for me next weekend (Fri-Sun, maybe Monday?). I'm going out of town, and so is my usual dog sitter. Boarding is an option, but it seems to stress my dog out. I'd rather him go somewhere with a yard and maybe other dogs or with someone who will take him for walks. He's up to date on all his vaccines/flea and tick free that I know of. He is a really laid back, easy-going dog.

choose carefullythere was this one girl who got someone random off the internet to watch her dog, and that person let the dog go...never found as far as i know...i'm sure someone can find that thread. this is a hell of a lot of responsibility to hand over to someone you don't know (ntm giving a stranger access to your house?) I know XCchik has been doing this for a long time and is good with animals, but if it was my animal(s), and possessions, I would hire a business thats insured.

Pet Sitting services usually need a couple weeks notice.....so, unfortunately, I'm too late for that.
