i need some ideas, i need to find somewhere to keep a 37" spare, full size truck, extended cab long bed, i had been keeping it in the bed up front by the trailer tongue toolbox i had in there, but i'm putting on a full size box to clean out my back seat, and under the truck isnt and option with a rear exit exhaust and hitch, thinkin on the side of the ladder rack somehow, but that would look retarded too, and i need bed space and make is less easy to just walk of with

ladder rack extends to the front of the cab, i need the space up there for the full width and length of the rack, and it would be a bitch to get down

box or round tube steel bumper w/ swing out tire carrier mounted to it. like what the jeep and suv people do. this is something that would have to be fabricated, i don't know of anywhere that sells them for fullsize trucks (there could be though, i don't know). use a trailer spindle/hub for the hinge.

you could also make (or buy in this case) an angled spare tire mount that bolts into the bed. that would of course eat up all of your bed space though, dunno if that's a problem.
