I've been trying to get this router to work for a while to no avail. Whenever I follow the instructions on the CD (connect PC directly to internet) it says I'm already connected to the router and will not proceed (because I have not authenticated my connection with Resnet yet). If I do authenticate, it will advance to the router setup, and then stop at 99% and tell me there is another problem and that I should reset my router. I also assume this is because I've already authenticated my ethernet card and Resnet is picky about the router.I'm at Wolf Village and didn't have this problem at Bragaw. authenticate with your computer and then clone the computer MAC address to the routeri dont know if this will work but it is worth a shot

I can't connect to the router until its setup, so there is no way for me to change the MAC address.

You can plug directly into your router without plugging it into an internet connection ... then you just connect to 192.168.1.1 to configure the router.

hell, I've had mine for 3 years or so and it was basically just plug and go(worked at Sullivan and WV now). Only changes I made were to the wireless security settings.

you don't have to clone your mac or anything. the default router config should work fine out of the box. just reset it to the default and make sure you plug it in right.

the MAC address might be printed on the bottom of the router

if you're not smart enough to figure it out, you probably shouldn't be going to ncsu

Make sure the connection between the wall and your router goes through the WAN port on the router. Other than that, it sounds like you might just have a busted router. The internet connection works without the router right?

Looks like the router got damaged in the process of moving in, no matter what I try it won't work. At least I know its not me. Next time I go home I'll get my Netgear router, its never given me any problems.
