I'm guessing he figured it out at the next stop light, when he fell over.

imagine carying your buddies mutilated leg for a mile... ewww, I have a tendancy to chuckle when really bad stuff happens like people getting injured... not b/c I find it funny but b/c that's how I personally deal with it kinda like a nervous laugh... I'd be chuckling the entire way trying to catch back up with him wondering what kinda crap is going to go down when he finally realizes that he's earned a new nickname

I read an account somehwere of some guy getting his leg taken off by a cannon ball in the royal navy and not realzing it (i guess he was holding onto something) until he tried to walk. Evendel shock plus quick trama means somtiems you dont notice.

lol. that's a pretty wild story. i can relate though. after i landed, i hurt like hell but i still tried to get up. it took about a minute for the REAL pain and the full reality of the situation to sink in.
