so i built a computer 2 years ago with an SLI ready motherboard. at the time i only put one MSI 7800GT card in the motherboard. Ive looked online and ive gotten conflicting reports on several sites so i decided to come here.I can no longer find that exact MSI card on any site i normally look on to purchase computer products. the specs are here tho: http://www.msicomputer.com/product/p_spec.asp?model=NX7800GT-VT2D256E_(Lite)&class=vgai went to newegg and looked for a card with the same:GPU (7800GT)memory size (256mb)memory interface @ 256bitmemory type GDDR3directx 9sli supportedit pulled up: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130035&Tpk=14-127this card is out of stock but if it were to come back in stock, would this card work in SLI with my current card? some people have told me needs same brand, others said just same GPU. perhaps my restraints were too broad or too narrow?also, my power supply is an ocz modstream 520W. im running 1 video card, 3 case fans, 2 harddrives, cd drive. fairly standard setup, wanted to see if a second video card could even be powered smoothly as well.thanks in advance for your help

With the newer nVidia drivers, cards with the same GPU should work in SLI together. Obviously, the more similar the cards, the better luck you'll have.
