I have a cable modem to use for the computer in my room and there is a cable modem hooked up to a router in the living room. Me and my roommates are running on wireless internet right now. It's fine, but a little unresponsive at times. Whenever I connect the cable modem to my computer and try to connect to the internet through it, a time warner cable activation screen comes up and I have to call them and put another modem on the account, pay more per month, etc etc. is there any way to get around it?
