So I was another website wasting time, procrastinating for an exam I have tomorrow. It had a feature about great roads, but they were all in the UK. So I was thinking, what roads, in North Carolina do you really enjoy?I really like Highway 150 going West towards Mooresville off of Jake Alexander Blvd. It's annoying when you're stuck behind a Buick for the first five minutes, but once you get out of town there are plenty of passing oportunities. I normally get it to myself, and it's a nice drive for the 15 minutes. Tall rolling hills through cow pastures and gradual higher speed turns.

if your drive 150 from charlotte to mooresville you basically go by my house...only part i find interesting is the barn from days of thunder (and i guess what nascar shops are left if u make the turn) and that buick is nothing compared to hitting the edge of mooresville at rush hour, unless theyve done something.[Edited on August 3, 2007 at 1:26 AM. Reason : and the drive through beer place there at the general store]

321 between Boone and Johnson City is a really fun drive, if you catch it at a time when there isn't much traffic. And even if there is traffic, there is some nice scenery along the way

Yea 321 is good. Hey jsmccon, my folks have a lake house just off Perth Rd on 150. When traffic is bad going around it is normally quicker. Hang a left onto Perth Rd off 150, Lake Norman High School would be on your right. Then go over the lake on the bridge, go another few blocks and go right at a big intersection. Stumpy Creek boat access is to the left. Then you go for 5 or 6 miles till the road ends at highway 21. Go right and you will intersect 150 in 2 miles where that Ford dealership is. 5 o'clock 150 is worthless.
