heh...we were on the train yesterday coming back from berlin and one of the stops was wolfsburg...i kept thinking that it reminded me of the wolfsburg edition vw's, but (as i know virtually nothing about them) figured it was just coincidence...until, of course, our train stopped and out my window was a MASSIVE vw plant right next to the river

nothing new, nothing interesting...it was just surprising (for me)...carry on

Wolfsburg was a city specifically created around the VW factory (original name Stadt des KdF-Wagens but renamed after WW2), which at the time was producing Beetles.

It then became a 'sports-package' trim level on the A series VW's, I think only applied to those produced at the Wolfsburg plant (vs. Mexico or US production sites)

last time i was in germany we were going to stop in wolfsburg on our giant loop of the country but instead we stopped in Koln and Frankfurt and never made it around the loop (then went back to The Netherlands before we came home)

on a related (but kinda not) note...can you buy the touareg v10 tdi in the states? i, of course, cannot afford one any time soon, but would love to have one nonetheless...they're all over the place here (for obvious reasons)

Car manufacturers maintain their own official webpages...!!!

Here is something you would like:

BTW, the V10 TDI starts at 68K, which is 10K more than the Cayenne S, and 20K more than the Q7 4.2/
