German genealogists found that Hitler had an ancestor named Soloman in the 17th century. It was never proven that the ancestor was Jewish, but the name was suspicious enough that Hitler had the info buried until after the war.

Regardless, Hitler had no clue of the possibility until the 1930s, so the notion of him being a self-hating jew is pretty silly.

German genealogists found that Hitler may have had a Jewish ancestor, more importantly the found that there had been a number of mentally handicapped people in Hitlers family tree. This info was stashed away and wasn't widely known about until after the war. It was never used as Nazi propaganda.
