I don't quite understand why people by those kind of cars. Not that a cobalt is bad, but being a car person I'd rather drive a total piece of shit that just runs until I could save up enough money to afford a good car then go buy a cheap econobox.

why wouldn't he buy it here? it would have been a lot cheaper.

and what lexus is it? the only lexus to cost over 100K in the US is LS 600h L, with an msrp of 106K. but in europe, a lot of lexuses cost over $100K. basically, any lexus that costs over $65K in the US, will be over $100K in europe.

so again, why did he buy it overseas, and which lexus?

Ugly is a relative term. Like the design or not, an evo always sticks out. A cobalt, on the other hand, is about as memorable as taking a morning piss. The same can be said for virtually every car under 30k.

Also, there is nothing remotely economic about an evo.

he has his fingers in a lot of pies, one of which would be a high end auto broker. IIRC he picked up the 600h for a client, not sure what country, I will be sure to ask when I talk to him again. When he tells me this stuff it dosent phase me, he does this shit on a regular basis and it amazes me. He personally has a lo mileage RHD NSX from japan and a RHD BMW 740il he brought over from england, both are grey market vehicles. he had a late model 760 he got in england, also RHD but he had a title to it and some guy in alexandria va saw it and offered him a nice profit on the spot, so he sold it.
