Hopefully this will be a pretty simple fix, but I wanted to get some advice from some people with a lot more knowledge than I have:I drive a 1994 Nissan Altima (might be a beater, but its always been reliable). A week or so ago I noticed that after I drive a good distance (to or from work) and park the car, antifreeze leaks out of the radiator and a fairly substantial amount of fluid leaks out before the car cools off. I checked to see where it was coming from and there is a hairline crack, about two inches long, in the hard rubber/plastic underneath where the radiator cap tube meets the actual radiator.I have made a quick temporary fix by covering the crack with superglue, but due to the high temperatures, high pressures and fluids coming from the crack, along with superglue's inability to adhere very well to the plastic/rubber, the leak is only slowed down. Are there any good products I can use to fill this crack without having to get the radiator replaced?

My radiator exploded a couple weeks ago. Fucking $420 for a new cooling system. Glue that shit up!

Nissan's stupid plastic radiator tanks suck, i've busted 2 of them before I got an aluminum radiator. I would not suggest JBweld because I've had some bad experiences with it, you can probably find a new radiator online for $100 or so.Here is one for $80 shipped http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/93-01-NISSAN-ALTIMA-2-4L-RADIATOR-94-95-96-97-98-99-00_W0QQitemZ230155160290QQihZ013QQcategoryZ33602QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem[Edited on July 26, 2007 at 4:59 PM. Sounds like a pretty big leak. Pepper works, but for the leak you have, I would use whole pepper corns.
