7/24/2007 10:23:23 AM
^^no, i've tried it. that just happens to be rectangular. it is not the same as school pizza. school pizza has cubed pepperoni on it (and a different flavor).[Edited on July 24, 2007 at 10:25 AM. Reason : ]
7/24/2007 10:24:43 AM

7/24/2007 10:25:21 AM
oh, well that's what we had in nj. tasted like a soapy version of ellio's.never had cubed toppings though, that sounds nasty.[Edited on July 24, 2007 at 10:26 AM. Reason : +]
7/24/2007 10:25:51 AM

7/24/2007 10:44:25 AM
i'm really going to order some, but i need to find out how much it costs first. i want both pepperoni and sausage pizzas but i don't think i have the money or room for 192 pizzas. i've already emailed about prices.[Edited on July 24, 2007 at 10:44 AM. Reason : ]

7/24/2007 11:12:13 AM
hmm...the nardone stuff looks more like the school pizza i had, but i seem to recall my grandmother insisting it was Tony's (she worked in the nash-rocky mount school food office up until i was in 5th grade). i'll double check w/ her.i'm not seeing where i could order on that schwan's site. it looks like it's just for schools (or go to a distribution warehouse place).
7/24/2007 11:13:24 AM
jackleg don't knock the fiestada till you get one of those tasty geometrical wonders in your mouth. Gah what i would give to be able to go to my high school and eat lunch without getting locked up terrorist style
7/24/2007 11:13:45 AM
i tell you whats goodthose red baron personal pizzas, they're actually (as said on the box somewhere) distributed by that schwans place. 2 pizzas in a box. decent light meal. usually 2 (boxes) for 5 bucks.they have the supernuker metal looking cardboard that you can flip around and nuke it in 2.5 minutes and it seems like its from the oven (takes 25 min)ive had it both ways and it seems the samei try to keep a couple boxes on hand all the time if i want a 2 minute decent meal on the quick, yo
7/24/2007 11:15:45 AM
yeah, the consumer (us) items for sale are their redbaron, tombstone, tony's stuff.we had a tony's cart at school that had the single pizzas in boxes, but it was the big huge pans that we want. I would say you'd have to get in good with the distributor or make a pretty large purchase. Like I said, i'll take a case of fiestada. Friday pizza days were the best.
7/24/2007 11:16:15 AM
that hexagon shaped pizza looks gross.
7/24/2007 11:16:34 AM
mani'd eat a whole rectangular pan of square school pizzaBENVENUE ELEMENTARY WHAT WHAT WE GANGSTA BY THE FUNNEL BALL
7/24/2007 11:16:41 AM
and schwans... at least back when i was in HS. SOMEHOW you could have the schwans dude drop by like 2x a month with frozen shit. my friends parents kept a freezer in their garage, and the schwans guy used to come by occasionally and fill it up with stuff like that (actually pizzas similar to what i mentioned before)so they have/had a home delivery service too
7/24/2007 11:17:29 AM
fiestada, why would you want mexican pizza thats not from taco bell
7/24/2007 11:18:35 AM
7/24/2007 11:18:46 AM
im not sure how you'd cook real school pizzathose pans were monsterousor i was just really small
7/24/2007 11:18:47 AM
I'm so craving hs pizza now
7/24/2007 11:20:05 AM
7/24/2007 11:21:04 AM
^^^i was curious about that as well...something tells me i wouldnt be able to cook it the sameyou'd need a subway style bread oven to do it[Edited on July 24, 2007 at 11:22 AM. Reason : .]
7/24/2007 11:21:38 AM
yeah, I used to really like those rectangular pizzas too, but I didn't like the sausage ones as much, but those were the ones they seemed to always serve.Whenever they had pepperoni though, it was money I tell you. Money.
7/24/2007 11:22:15 AM
7/24/2007 11:23:44 AM
i always loved how you could peel off the entire top of cheese and eat it seperate if you wanted
7/24/2007 11:24:24 AM
i think they cooked a tray just long enough to warm it up a little in the oven. i guess at home you would have to cook as many as you could fit in your oven, or put it in the microwave. man i want some for lunch so bad.so what's the general consensus as far as north carolina school pizzas?nardone or tony's (schwans) ?[Edited on July 24, 2007 at 11:26 AM. Reason : ]
7/24/2007 11:24:52 AM
srsly, I hate this thread... because now I want this pizza And I can't have any...
7/24/2007 11:26:15 AM
dudei'd pull the cheese off and eat itthen pull the "sauce" off with a fork and eat itthen roll up the botton like a fruit roll up and eat italso i'd make crop lines in mashed potates and still do
7/24/2007 11:28:16 AM
haha i knew a few that did that....i would rarely pull off the cheese and eat it, but every now and then it was nice to change it up...if i did the fruit roll up thing i left the sauce though
7/24/2007 11:30:08 AM
the nardone rect. pizzas look more like what I had through my years in grade school, but they dont have fiestadas listed so I'm not real sure. and those schwan fiestadas look exactly like they used to. its probably a toss up
