Ok, I feel dumb.

I need to replace my air filter. I unscrewed the four screws to get at it, but it will only open about an inch. Not enough room to replace it. I think I need to disconnect something. Does anybody know what I should disconnect and how to disconnect it?

disconnect yourself from the screwdriver and drive down to a bookstore and get a manual. preferably one marked "accords for dummies"

You probably just have to wiggle it, sometimes they have strange hinges on them and you have to wiggle them out.

the filter housing catches on the edge of the fender. push it away slightly from the fender and pull up.

this too. take the metal band off the end of the housing and it's easier to remove or just slide the housing out of the tube.

It looks like the intake manifold hose will flex fine. But there are two other hoses going into it that are the problem. Do they pull straight out or twist out what? I just don't want to break them.
