http://cfn.scout.com/2/660053.htmlSome notables:Has State 5-7Has VT losing to GT (I got tickets to this game already, should be a good one)WF 5-7They basically have the Atlantic sucking ass
7/23/2007 2:24:41 PM
GT 10-2 after losing Calvin? Not sure about that one, but then again, they also lose Reggie Ball.I don't see ECU losing to us & UNC either.
7/23/2007 2:30:06 PM
the atlantic does suck ass. FSU isnt the FSU of old...Clemson blows chunks every year when they're supposed to be good. Maryland hasnt been shit since the Fridge has gotten his recruits. Us..........nuff said. Wake Forest....when wake forest wins our division, fuck
7/23/2007 2:30:11 PM
The Atlantic division is just more balanced. We don't have UNC and Duke giving easy wins to the rest of the division.
7/23/2007 2:32:16 PM
Yeah they have GT beating Notre Dame, BC, V-Tech, and Georgia]
7/23/2007 2:34:53 PM
I have been reading a lot about GT since I am down here in Atlanta now, and they sound like a pretty solid team, losing Ball definitely helps haha
7/23/2007 2:36:09 PM
I think 5-7 is pretty accurate for us. We'll probably split the ECU/UNC games and upset a Miami, FSU, or BC
7/23/2007 2:56:42 PM
adding VT and Miami sure upped the level of play!
7/23/2007 3:01:14 PM
the ACC got what they wanted out of the deal... the level of competition hasn't gone down, and there's a Championship game (more money) now...seriously, get over the expansion, it's been two years now at full 12 and three years of expansion... wait... right... most state fans have a hard time getting over anything...[Edited on July 23, 2007 at 3:04 PM. 7/23/2007 3:04:12 PM
it's not a matter of "getting over" a damn thing. I'm a Big Ten fan. But it looks like Miami and VT have fallen to acc level play rather than the opposite happening.
7/23/2007 3:05:08 PM
they got the numbers right, just in the wrong order; 7-5 in '07.
7/23/2007 3:14:41 PM
we will beat ECU this year b/c the team will actually "care"
7/23/2007 3:15:07 PM
yeah I don't see Miami nor GT doing as well as CFN says. I know that FSU is perennially picked high, but I think this is the year they put together a pretty impressive season.
7/23/2007 3:20:47 PM
i agree 100%i think they might have a chance at a BCS bowl game with all the players they are returning plus factor in that last year they couldnt catch a break means, to me...that FSU will be a hungry team.have to remember how nasty the defense was at FSU w/ Amato there and since he is back with the serious upgrades to the Asst. coaches and Jimbo Fisher...look outpretty sure we dont beat FSU this year
7/23/2007 3:23:19 PM
7/23/2007 3:28:24 PM
- Jeff Bowden + Jimbo fisher = FSU back at the top, unfortunately but i still think VT will win the ACC, and if not for an early season loss at LSU would be in the nat'l title hunt.
7/23/2007 3:48:26 PM
that VT / LSU game is going to be a good onecant wait to watch it

I have all the admiration in the world for the way he runs the program. Still, I really don't think they were the best team, or even close to it, in a normal year. No disrespect to them, it's just hard for a school like there to match talent with the normal powerhouses. They had a great gameplan against UL too in the Orange Bowl and hung with them.. I was surprised and happy for Grobe that they did b/c I thought that was going to be a drubbing.
7/23/2007 4:13:17 PM
VT has all the major pieces back from a top 3 D, and a returning 1,000 yard rusher in Ore....if their Passing game doesn't lose games for them, they should be very good.
7/23/2007 4:14:04 PM
^ true... but this LSU team might be the fastest overall team ever, its sick how loaded they are.
7/23/2007 4:30:52 PM
if LSU went to Blacksburg, I'd pick 'em to win......but they don't, so I won't, but it's still going to be a slobberknocker.
7/23/2007 4:46:14 PM
I'm sorry, I just don't see GT going 10-2; last year CJ was just as much an intimidation factor as anything else. Even though BC has a questionable 3 gimme games, I still don't forsee them going 8-4, 7-5 sounds better to me because they will lose to FSU. And why is Clemson going to lose to Maryland? I just don't think that these Picks are accurate...however, I think that they are fairly close. I still think that we will be 7-5 or 6-6.Atlantic: FSU (9-3), Clemson (8-4), UMd (7-5 or 6-6), BC (7-5 or 6-6), NCSU (7-5 or 6-6), WFU (6-6 or 5-7)Coastal: VT(10-2), GT (9-3), Miami (9-3), UVA (6-6), UNC (4-4 or 3-9), Duke (0-12)There's my predictions in writing...take them as they are...predictions from an average joe.
7/23/2007 5:08:11 PM
damnthe coaches poll has us and duke at the bottom of our respective divisions

Blue Ribbon Reports on ESPN.com just came out for IN members, pretty lengthy but still a good a read. I found this to be interesting:
7/23/2007 6:12:09 PM
Florida State beating Bammer? I sure hope so.
7/24/2007 3:47:31 PM

7/24/2007 3:48:07 PM
^^^ the whole Blue Ribbon report is over on the "ask and ESPN insider" thread if anyone wants to see it
7/24/2007 3:56:17 PM
^^^ I think so... Bama is still a good year away with Saban
7/24/2007 8:18:08 PM
The sec is crack. LSU will do something very ugly to vt. expect a score like 38-3 or 49-7 or some shit like that. Flynn is a better pass than Jamarcus Its BC not BCULou and wvu would have been the perfect acc additions as they are two of the best programs in football basketball combined. Obviously after florida and ohio state.
7/25/2007 1:58:58 AM
my picksFSU - 10-2 VT - 10-2WF - 9-3 UM - 9-3BC - 7-5 GT - 8-4CU - 7-5 UVA - 5-7NST 7-5 UNC - 3-9 UMD - 5-7 DU - 0-12I have us loosing to BC, Louisville, Clem, F St., Miami
7/26/2007 10:34:25 AM
^ damn right going to run this shit this yearholeinback for heisman
7/26/2007 10:35:33 AM
i predict a breakout year for duke (breakout=1 win)]
7/26/2007 10:41:43 AM
who do they beat? NW or UConn?maybe UNC?
7/26/2007 10:46:40 AM
I think the heisman winner is going to come out of the state of west virgina
7/26/2007 11:07:03 AM
I'm sorry, but am I being too much of a homer to think that we will beat BC. I mean we have their coach, and he knows most of the players inside and out. I just think that we are in BC's head too much to lose, but then again I have been wrong before...[Edited on July 26, 2007 at 11:22 AM. Reason : V WTF??]
7/26/2007 11:18:51 AM
especially if he is still loyal to bc he might tell them what state will be doing or at least some of the strategies
7/26/2007 11:20:28 AM
... you are joking right?i mean, you can't make a statement that dumb and actually be serious, right?
7/26/2007 11:28:56 AM
man fuck you get your head above the clouds you never know just like that nba ref who was cheating
7/26/2007 11:32:55 AM
are we in the BC player's heads or just the tools over at the BC scout page
7/26/2007 11:36:24 AM
When we got O'Brien, BC fans said one reason they didn't like him was he focused too much on 1 game out of the season and made SURE to win that one. They said that game would be BC from now on. Similar to Amato and FSU I guess.
7/26/2007 11:39:34 AM
oh great, garfunkel is back...
7/26/2007 11:42:39 AM
yeah but obrien never went 3-9
7/26/2007 11:43:37 AM
buts hes boring, majority of people have never even heard of him before this
7/26/2007 11:44:39 AM
you mean majority in the same terms as "the majority of the population doesn't watch college football" in that sense, yeah I agree. but if you think the majority of people are area actually into college football don't know who he is, you are nuts.
7/26/2007 11:59:07 AM
man no one even knew who he was if it wasnt called boston college no one would even have known it was in bostoni mean he might be good just saying hes an unknown commodity
7/26/2007 12:02:50 PM
Wait a second, you can't use the word commodity, it will ruin your street cred yo
7/26/2007 12:18:14 PM
Nothing like reading an NCSU message board for some good ole fashion delirious NCSU fans thinking this year is going to be better than last year.
