Downloaded the most recent driver package from ATI for my laptop's FireGL T2. Upon running setup, I get a message saying it cannot find the appropriate hardware.Way to go, ATI.Any ideas?

AFAIK, all ATI mobile chipsets rely on the system integrator for drivers. So, go to your manufacturers website and get the drivers there.

Are you using XP Media Center Edition? I was annoyed to find out that ATI's latest drivers would not install in media center for the x1400 a while ago.

I've also seen this happen if you already have drivers installed for it, go figure. You may need to uninstall the existing drivers first, if you can do so. I had to do this for an entire computer lab once (not fun). Tyler can problably guess which lab I'm referring to.

I always got issues like this with my laptop unless I used omega drivers from http://www.omegadrivers.net/ati/win2k_xp.php
