Well, depending on how much of a sell out you want to be, here's what you'll need:

Cliche basic songs for weddings, stuff that 50yo people like

And what I like to call top40/hiphop/dance for clubs, but don't think about getting a job at any local ones because they all have resident DJs

Just get a bunch of hip hop records and play frat parties for now.

seems you have confused the matter at hand.

i am currently a DJ and have been for about 5 years now. I have all the equipment and songs I am just looking any parties/gigs/clubs around that are in search of or need a backup DJ for a while just to make some cash with.

I have all the stuff, i just need the outlet in which to play.
