Being a person with no religious affiliation, I have on occasion wondered the answer to this question. All I really know about is "they killed Jesus". But wasn't that supposed event just as much Roman as it was Jew. Please relieve me of my ignorance.here is an interesting article on the subject that I just foundhttp://www.simpletoremember.com/vitals/Why_Do_People_Hate_The_Jews.htm]

well, if weren't for the jews, salisburyboy wouldn't have a reason to make stupid threads. i think that's what most people are upset aboutbtw

I'll answer for salisburyboyThe jews aren't actually hated, they create (read: fake) their own tragedies so we pity them and they can sneak their horned selves into positions of power to further their Zionist agenda. Only the people that know the TRUTH like salisburyboy hate them.

because Jesus was a Jew

dislike for the jews is ingrained into many cultures via generations of teaching hate.why do most americans have an unfavorable view of the french, why do europeans have an unfavorable view of americans, why does racism in general exist?people aren't born to hate, hate is learned.

I'll bet most people that readily admit they hate jews don't know why, per se.....they hate them because they were influenced to hate them by others of a similar view.^^how would be the actual brain processes and physiology of feeling the hate.[Edited on July 18, 2007 at 4:18 PM. Reason : ^]

Israel

The more immediate response is because Hitler (and many conservative Germans post-WWI) believed that the bankers were responsible for "forfeiting" the war to the Americans, and as a result, the horrible economic situation for Germany. And since, at the time in Germany, literally almost all bankers were Jews (it had something to do with no one trusting anyone but the Jews with handling money, I don't remember why, but this is where the stereotype comes from) Hitler blamed the Jews for everything, and this is why the Holocaust happened. Before that, the Crusades had all of these European Catholics against the Jews who "killed Jesus".It's all about messiahs and monies.

I strongly dislike Israel. I have nothing against the Jewish ethnicity though.

Americans hated Jews before WWII. You can't put the blame all on Hitler.
7/19/2007 11:31:14 AM
When did anyone put all of the blame on Hitler? Its been ever present since pre-Roman times.
7/19/2007 11:34:04 AM
Federal seemed to put the blame on Hitler. Why then were the Jews hated since pre-roman times?

Meh. Pick a reason.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_antisemitism

For a very long time the reason for hating Jews was the idea that they "Did not have a country." This is much the same reason that people hated gypsies. They were always, invariably, a minority in whatever country they inhabited. More importantly, in the eyes of the anti-semites, they were always, invariably parasites. That is to say, since they aren't part of any country -- even if they've been living in one for generations -- the only reason they could possibly be staying there is because it is profitable for them, right? A German stays in Germany because he's German, but a Jew stays in Germany because it has some tangible benefit for him.I've probably done a poor job explaining it, but that's because it is a very silly idea that does not lend itself to explanation through rational terms. This is why the Jews, like the Rom, were always considered outsiders regardless of how long they'd been in a place. Both groups were also subsequently the center of much superstition, and their "parisitic" nature meant that they were both associated with some type of thievery -- Jews, through manipulating banks and loans through the dark magic of "math" and "accounting," and Gypsies by running scams and picking pockets.

^^^ Yeah, but I said that was the more recent reason and also cited the Crusades. Also, you can't forget that Israel (contrary to popular belief, only 3/4 of which is Jewish) is still in a feud with Palestine over the "true" owner of the land. This can explain a lot of the hatred towards Jews outside of the West.

Why do Americans hate Jews though? They use to be (still are?) banned by country clubs, and I personally know of an older couple that doesn't like Jews.[Edited on July 19, 2007 at 2:19 PM. Reason : these people are "Christian" too ]
7/19/2007 2:19:21 PM
basically, its just the way it is. there is no reason, no rational one, its just been that way since the beginning and has stayed that way. as night is dark and day is light people will always hate the jews

Jesus

I think it has to do with their self-imposed isolation. The very thing that saved their culture condemns them. After being transported to Babylon they saved their culture through dietary restrictions. If you can't eat with someone, you can't get to know them - and certainly you can't intermarry. People hate things they don't understand. Things that are different from them.
