Are there any courses that let you have hands-on experience with the CNC machines in Park Shops? I have used CNC machines in the past (a mill and a lathe), but not the ones in Park Shops.

Have you checked out the Wood Products (WPS course listings) classes? Their Wood Products Extension group just put on a CNC class for H.S. Shop teachers.

I couldn't tell from the course listings which ones let you use specific types of equipment. But Dr. Perry Peralta (perry_peralta@ncsu.edu) is the undergraduate coordinator. I'm sure if you tell him your interest and what you're looking for he might be able to recommend a class.

All classes/machining is housed in Hodges Wood Laboratory (near corner of Western/Dan Allen)
