i tried google and used greasemonkey but that only allowed me to save them as flash files. I want to save them as some type of file that can be burned onto a cd/dvd. anyone know?

that would be sweet if you wanted to download a video in a format of your choosing from any website, and the server did all the video re-encoding for you

your best bet is to find an SWF-to-AVI or SWF-to-MPG converter or something
