do some sites require cookies still? or do most handle them both ways?would it be a good idea to handle it both ways?i don't know if ppl nowadays actually disable cookies.

tons of sites require cookies. Or.... maybe not require, but make (good) use of them if available. but yes, some do require them to work properly, like some shopping baskets. The whole "cookies are as bad a viruses" scare was way too overblown. not to mention, it happened about a decade ago. i think the debate is basically settled, and cookies are generally left "On" now.

i was planning on requiring cookies, but the more i think about it, the less i feel like i need to REQUIRE them... they can just be an asset to the visitor for less hassle in the future (since not all users will have logins)
