My brother is going to UNC and he got a free laptop from their CCI department, but he already has one so I am trying to sell the new one for him. The computer is brand new. He just got it 3 days ago. He had to take it out of the box so the IT department could load up all the Microsoft software. Other than that it has not been used. It comes with all the instruction manuals and the original box. It has a 3 year warranty and a 1 year warranty on the battery. They also gave him the extended instead of the regular battery so it last about 6 hours without charge. It also comes with an Ethernet cord and a laptop lock which has not even been opened from the original bag. • Lenovo R61 Thinkpad• Intel Core 2 Duo L2500 1.83Ghz• 1 GB RAM (1024 MB) DDR2 789Mhz• 14.0" WXGA Widescreen Display• Resolution: (1280x800)• 120 GB Ultra ATA Hard Drive• CD-RW/DVD Combo• Integrated Intel Graphics Media• Accelerator 965 Chipset• 5 lbs.• Battery Life: up to 6.0 hrs.• MS Office 2007, Windows XP Pro

if it is brand new, just return it

They will not give him any money for it because he got a grant for the laptop... So if he returns it they will just consider it as him just denying the grant
