I'm not due for an annual ear-bleeding.I think I'll skip this.
7/16/2007 10:12:22 AM
im pretty sure taking back sunday is running on a different tour this yearnice subtle way of promoting your band too[Edited on July 16, 2007 at 12:19 PM. Reason : .]

in general ive usually hated most the bands on the local stage that they pick for some reason. idea of beauty are good guys tho.the 2002 warped tour (i think that was the year) had an amazing local stage at the warped tour. two of the acts on it were Beloved and Hopesfall (before satellite years was out too) among others
7/16/2007 12:32:42 PM
i think i went in 02 for glassjaw and PTW and thursdaythat was in Va Beach, though.
7/16/2007 12:38:04 PM
sounds about right. thursday was there that year. i also saw alkaline trio i think (not very good live tho) and a few others. but at the time of that show, seeing hopesfall, beloved, thursday in one day for me was awesome as i was really into all of them. perfect time for them all too: thursday only had 'waiting' and 'full collapse' out, beloved had their old old cd and 'the running' out and hopesfall as i said before just had 'frailty of words' and 'no wings to speak of' out...so yea all the bands were playing their best songs imo
7/16/2007 12:43:20 PM
Tiger Army.
7/16/2007 12:51:29 PM
^what he said
7/16/2007 2:03:44 PM
I will be at the beach during this week. I would like to go see Killswitch again though.
7/16/2007 2:06:04 PM
ok 0 of those bands are good.
7/16/2007 2:11:43 PM
i really enjoy cirva survive and some of the older stuff by a few of those bands like i said. but in general yea its a very weak lineup
7/16/2007 2:16:51 PM
what i remember from 01...THE SPITVALVES
7/16/2007 2:22:48 PM
what year was it in va beach, for anyone who went, that some tropical storm skirted by and turned the show into an awesome raining event?...ive been thinking like 03 or 04, but i seriously cant remember
7/16/2007 2:37:34 PM
i'm fairly certain it comes to va beach every year.the year i went, it didn't rain...and yeah jamie, alkaline trio was there, too, and their set was awful.the used was there, too. Bert vomited. IT WAS SO KEWL.
7/16/2007 2:45:12 PM
yea i used to (and still do to some extent) enjoy alk3 on albums but live they sounded terrible..and yea Bert vomited in charlotte too haha..apparently he does it a lot because ive heard other people say that as well. but no i dont like the used. im not even quite sure why he would throw up but he did.[Edited on July 16, 2007 at 2:50 PM. 7/16/2007 4:57:31 PM

7/16/2007 4:58:42 PM

can anyone explain to me how/why alesana is so big now...i cannot grasp that at all
7/16/2007 6:11:02 PM
Because Tommy from Tragic Hero reallllllly knows how to promote bands and puts a TON of time and money into them.they got a full page ad in AP magazine for more than one month, the highest ad priority on purevolume.com (the top featured band where they were getting thousands and thousands of plays a day because of the ad), as well as got to open for some big tours. and yea, thatll do it[Edited on July 16, 2007 at 6:20 PM. pennywise, bad religion, and pepper were all great
7/24/2007 11:26:30 AM
Anybody know why Killswitch decided not to show up? Tiger Army owned, so did It Dies Today, Throwdown, and The Human Abstract.
7/24/2007 11:46:42 AM
ugh i cant stand throwdown or it dies today. Throwdown puts on a decent live show but theyre a pantera rip off + hardcore band and it dies today sounds like EVERY OTHER cliche metalcore band out there - besides the fact that most of them do it better than IDT anyways.i can write a new IDT song on guitar in the next 5 mins thats how predictable they are[Edited on July 24, 2007 at 12:04 PM. oh and PS im not trying to be a prick to you personally, im glad you enjoyed them, and glad to have another metal fan around.I mean i listened to it dies today 6 years ago or so and loved them the first time i heard them when i was first getting into metal/metalcore and still pop in their first stuff for nostalgia value, but theres a lot more bands out there doing more interesting stuff to me personally these days that are still in the same general vein.
7/24/2007 12:48:34 PM
Family Force 5 is fun to watch live.
7/24/2007 12:58:40 PM
listen to it prevails...they are doing it right/metalcore
7/24/2007 1:46:08 PM
^^Heck yes they are, one of my favorites, they're coming to Lincoln Theatre in November
7/24/2007 3:52:47 PM
Pennywise and Bad Religion are classic....wish I could have seen them
