This is driving me freakin' crazy.I've hard reset the damn thing three times now, and have restarted it and my PC multiple times. It is not yet connected to a modem. I'm just trying to get the to the damn configuration page for now. When I ping 192.168.0.1, I get perfect replies. When I ping myself, I get perfect replies.Yet when I go to my browser and type http://192.168.0.1 I get a "HTTP 400 Bad Request." How the hell does that happen? Anyone know what I'm missing here?

Okay I just tried again and actually got a login prompt, logged in, then as soon as I clicked "Setup Wizard," I got the same 400 error. How is that even possible? NetGear FTL...Any ideas yet?

Are you connected through wireless or ethernet? A lot of the wireless routers have the configuration options disabled by default over wireless and require you to use a wired connection in order to make changes.[Edited on July 12, 2007 at 7:39 PM. Reason : looking at the support page for the mr314, this appears to be the case.]

Either way, the ping still works fine.I installed FireFox for the heck of it, and it worked. ...which is incredibly bizarre, considering I haven't changed anything at all. I found some other cases of this happening recently though. Gonna run a virus scan.

ping just means you're connected. being connected and having access to...oh fuck it nevermind.

Yeah, forgot to mention - I can ping AND access internet just fine. And my other machines work fine AND can access the router...for some reason my laptop can't anymore when using IE.
