The dragon's song at the end of this one is the funniest Simpsons bit in years, though.

I was SO disappointed in the movie. It was so much more sacreligious than the show has ever been (until recently).

There's nothing in the movie more sacreligious than the show other than Marge saying "goddamn," which is, of course, taboo per the FCC.

Yes... Homer said "Jeebus", the Bible had no answers, and something else in the very beginning. I've watched every episode of the show ever, with the exception of most of the new ones because my Sunday's are busy. So, unless the blasphemy is recent; it is very out of ordinary to me.

The first episode where Homer refers to Jesus as "Jebus" is Missionary: Impossible.

That was in 2000.

^^^oh come on, the simpsons pokes alot of fun at religion, but Ned Flanders is also the only truly good character on the show. He does alot of weird things but they have NEVER portrayed him doing anything even a little mean.

some people just want to find offense in anything.

and damnit, damnit100 beat me to sacrelicious

^ Ahem.

"Homer, you are the worst human being I have ever met."

Even if he's right (and seeing as Homer is responsible for Maude Flanders' death, among other things, he is), it's still mean.

It's mean, but it's true.

and compared to everyone else on the show Flanders is miles beyond the rest (even Marge, who more than once has told Homer that he's fucked up)

I thought we were having steamed clams.
Oh, no, I said steamed hams. That's what I call hamburgers.
You call hamburgers steamed hams?
Yes, it's a regional dialect.
Uh-huh. What region?
Uhh ... Upstate New York.
Really? Well, I'm from Utica, and I've never heard anyone use the phrase 'steamed hams.'
Oh, not in Utica. No, it's an Albany expression.
I see.

There's that episode where Flanders flipped out. And on one episode after Maude died he had sex with a woman on the grass (omg premarital sex!).

You know, these hamburgers are quite similar to the ones they have at Krusty Burger.
Oh ho ho, no. Patented Skinner burgers. Old family recipe.
For steamed hams ...
Yes ...
Yes, and you call them steamed hams despite the fact that they are obviously grilled.

Skinner: Well, that was wonderful. A good time was had by all. I'm pooped.
Chalmers: Yes, I should be go—od lord, what is happening in there?
Skinner: Aurora Borealis?
Chalmers: Aurora Borealis? At this time of year? At this time of day? In this part of the country? Localized entirely within your kitchen?
Skinner: Yes.
Chalmers: May I see it?
Skinner: No.
Agnes: Seymour, the house is on fire!
Skinner: No, Mother, it's just the Northern Lights

^ I have yet to find one.

Although I have that episode on DVD and could feasibly hook up some cables or something and then have it up on youtube for 20 minutes before it gets pulled for copyright infringement.
