[old]
7/12/2007 3:41:21 PM
i do this on the regular late at night when nobody is on the roads
7/12/2007 3:46:48 PM
Woohoo! I can now do what I've always done legally.
7/12/2007 3:52:16 PM
he he... sometimes when I come up on the Kaplan light early in the morning going to school I just go whoop! Now I can do it and give all the other cars around me looking at me wierd the finger
7/12/2007 4:01:27 PM
wow you have to wait at the light for 3 min before you can turn left...what about if you want to go strieght? This is like the tail gating issue a cop has to follow/watch you tailgate for 3 miles before you can get ticketed.

7/12/2007 4:15:55 PM
if you'd learn how to stop before the white line that's on the road for a reason and park over the sensor, your dumbass wouldn't be sitting at a light so long.
7/12/2007 5:40:03 PM
most sensors are too large for a bike to disrupt the field and trip it no matter where you sit on it
7/12/2007 5:42:54 PM
i very rarely had any issues in my 5 years of riding. going to the edge of the sensor pad and rolling back/forth a bit almost always trips them. there are definitely some out there that won't no matter what you do though.i hope people don't take advantage of this for their own safety, but you know they will. i predict alot more t-boned riders/bikes.
7/12/2007 7:11:20 PM
Cutting off/on the engine or kicking the sidestand down sometimes works for me.Nevertheless, this law works in every rider's favor. Hell, even cagers win, as it might even lead to less squids on the road.
7/12/2007 7:16:28 PM
only passed because half of the 40+ yr old guys in Senate have Harleys....
7/12/2007 9:36:37 PM
wait....i do this in may car at night when no one else is around. dam traffic engineers.
7/13/2007 12:49:11 AM
69 you know your fat ass sets off the sensors a block away
7/13/2007 12:52:12 AM
^ LOL
7/13/2007 10:10:33 AM
dont ever try to leave the front driveway of meredith late at night then... in an 02 grand am i sit for 5+ mins sometimes before i just say screw it and go anyway
7/13/2007 10:58:56 AM
i have an 02 grand am and have the same problem. not that the car has anything to do with it really those sensors just suck
7/13/2007 11:07:53 AM
yeah, they've been that way for years. i remember sitting there many a night for minutes on end 5-6 years ago. that was in a fullsize truck to boot...
7/13/2007 7:33:03 PM
ive made many illegal turns at that intersection
7/13/2007 7:38:24 PM
x5
7/13/2007 8:18:26 PM
I wonder if you couldnt rig some sort of EMP on your bike to trigger those things, or a temporary electromagentic
7/13/2007 9:48:53 PM
If nobody is around, like the law states, who gives a shit if you turn anyway?[Edited on July 14, 2007 at 12:09 AM. Reason : ,]

That committee gave the measure its blessing last week and sent it back to the full House, where the same resistance arose Wednesday before the chamber voted 61-55 to send the bill to Gov. Mike Easley's desk. If he signs it, the law would take effect Dec. 1.gotta wait till december
7/14/2007 3:55:17 AM
