If you are not interested please do not flame, I'm just trying to do a good deed for someone looking for a job while helping out a friend.A large telecommunications company in Raleigh, NC is in need of an Entry-Level Software Engineer.The entry level position is within the software integration team where we perform software merges, version control, software builds, integration testing, and tools support.This is a great position to learn about 2.5 and 3G mobile communication devices with the opportunity to move into an embedded software development role in the future.Position Description:This position involves software configuration management and integration of software related to the GSM/ GPRS and EDGE Access software. Software functions to be integrated also includes datacom protocols, messaging services, MMI services, application services and generic services such as files systems and battery charging. Configuration Management work includes Clearcase branch management software merging and labeling release toward system test and debug/tracking of error reports. The position also involves regression testing of integrated software.Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering is required. 1-2 years of experience in using C language and/or software configuration management. Knowledge of cellular phone protocol a plus.The candidate must be able to work well in a team environment. Good communication and documentation skills are needed. don't ever let Aerotek get ahold of your resume if you aren't looking for temp work; those guys are relentless. When hurricane katrina hit, I was getting 10 calls a day from every field agency they had.If I had been getting calls for Florida Utilities and not Louisiana and Mississippi, I would have jumped on their offers.
