My flag football team needs a few guys to scrimmage against tommorow afternoon in Cary. We're going down to a tournament in Aiken, SC at the end of this month and we need some live action before we heard down seeing as how we haven't played a game in nearly three months. it's standard 7-on-7 rules so we would love to have about 10 or 12 guys to show up for a few hours tommorow to run around and have some fun. If you're really good and play well tommorow we would love for you to come down to the tournament with us to play as well. Also if you're wanting to play this fall on campus this would give you some great ideas and concepts for the intramural league.

Most people on here play full contact flag football. You have to allow full contact on the quarterback for the game to even any defensive strategy at all.

not neccessarily. there is a league in raleigh that is contact but you're never allowed to hit the quarterback which is why they call it flag football. this tournament that we are going to is a 7-on-7 non-contact tourny in which the rules are similar to what is played on campus in regards to blocking with your hands behind your back and no contact with the recievers as a defender. if you want to play full contact football then there are a few semi pro teams in the area that you may be interested in. we just want a few guys who want to have some fun in a semi competitive nature to help us prep. for our upcoming tournament. i know some of the frats have pretty good teams on campus so we may be better served searching there.

i'm an old alum that has played flag football in raleigh many years, starting in college at state, playing in new orleans for the college and open championships and well, keeping it going even when i'm older in the open divisions. i've always wanted to get on here and talk football, i normally surf it cause yall are crazy. we are trying to get an influx of new talent in our raleigh league and i'd like to offer my help in preparing for aiken and getting your teams involved in the raleigh leagues. currently, we have about 20 teams in the league. the top 4 teams in each style can play with anybody in the country. we play 7 man screen, 8 man contact, 5 man contact and 4 man screen. it is the longest running flag football league in raleigh and the website is http://www.usffl.info. we travel to national tourneys and regional tourneys. currently, we are the #2 ranked screen team in the country, placing 2nd in atlanta june 2/3, beating the main comp you'll see in aiken, the palmetto bugs in the semis. our name is raleigh blincos. our league also produced the aftfl national 8 man contact champs at the virginia beach tourney in late june, the raleigh cardinals. our league produced the usftl 5 man contact champs in orlando, rdu assault. we also won the aiken tourney about 4-5 years ago. you can ask "hollywood" about blincos and if you should take some advice from "kk". look, if you are interested, i'd like to try and get some of my guys together and meet up with you sunday. we play both screen and contact. we need to prepare for a 7 man tourney in wrightsville beach aug. 18/19 for a $1,000 payout against most of the aiken teams and a 5 man contact tourney the next weekend in raleigh for $1,000. also, i'd like to set up a possible exhibition scrimmage with the open and fraternity champ one nite so that everybody at state can see that some of the best open flag football in the country is being played in raleigh in screen and contact. it will only make the intramurals at state stronger and get flag football back to where it used to be. there isnt any reason why nc state intramural flag football isnt competing for national titles like we were in the 90's. and for the guys that crack on 7 man screen, hey, there is an 8 man contact league with men playing it. so, its available. most of the 7 man screen teams can lay the wood if need be. let me know if i can help out

today at 5 over in Cary at a park off of Norwell Blvd. Coming from 40 East or West take the Harrison Avenue exit and proceed into Cary. Turn right onto Weston Parkway and continue until the second stop light which should be Norwell Street or Blvd and take a left. You will see a bunch of office buildings. Continue and you will see the park and us on your left. See everyone at 5!
