is so true, the more stuff that starts going well, the harder it snaps back on you



decided to put the new gears in my truck this afternoon, had it torn down in 30 min, popped in the new ring gear and pinion with the setup bearings, got the backlash and contact perfect first try, took it back apart, thats when shit went south

couldn't find Jeepman's impact gun to set the pinion preload with the new crush sleeve, had no way to go anywhere, so i dicked around with a jack handle and breaker bar for 30 min and said fuck it, the old bearings were stuck on the carrier, practically welded, so it took 45 to get them off, the new pinion seal didn't fit right, and the new carrier bearings in the install kit were wrong, then i burnt the shit out of my forehead on the exhaust, gave up for the night and caught a ride home
