a hot new truck from freightliner this yearFreightliner’s Business Class M2 106V and 112V are designed for heavy-duty vocational applications requiring a front engine PTO and front frame extensions. With a front engine PTO, you can power a wide variety of equipment from snowplows to refuse packers. One of many standard features on these trucks, the PTO shaft runs below the radiator, not through it, for optimal cooling and reliability. Front frame rail extensions are standard and provide a solid mounting point for hydraulic pumps, winches, front stabilizers and snowplows. Business Class M2 106V Engineered for maximum customization, the heavy-duty Business Class M2 106V and M2 112V are loaded with standard features that make body installation easy and affordable. As an example, multiplex wiring provides standard interfaces for engine wiring, transmission wiring and lighting, as well as both high and low current options to meet the needs of all body builders. Heavy Duty Power and VersatilityThe Business Class M2 106V features the Mercedes-Benz MBE900 family of engines and the 112V comes standard with the MBE4000. Both of these engines offer the best power-to-weight ratio in the industry, which means great fuel economy and low operating costs. Freightliner Business Class M2 106 V and 112 V are the perfect solution for heavy-duty vocational applications that require a front engine PTO and front frame extension. Both models feature a lightweight aluminum cab and roomy interiors, as well as clean frame rails back of cab. A multiplex wiring system makes body installation simpler while improving diagnostic capabilities, and exhaust stacks can be mounted either horizontally or vertically to complement different body configurations. Freightliner knows that every job is different, so we loaded the Business Class M2 106V and 112V with features and benefits that deliver maximum customization. PTO OptionsFactory PTO provision coupled with a variety of front frame extension increments (6”, 12” and 24” for the M2 106V and 12”, 18” and 24” for the M2 112V) allows for ideal packaging and protection of whatever front engine PTO is required. Available SuspensionsWith optional spring or air suspensions, including Freightliner’s TufTrac and AirLiner rear suspensions rated from 40,000 lbs to 52,000 lbs, the M2 106V and 112 V trucks deliver a smooth, even ride whether you're running a snowplow, refuse truck or a fully-loaded mixer. Excellent ManuverabilityWith up to a 55-degree wheel cut, these trucks offer excellent manuverability for getting in and out of tight spots. The 2,500 sq. in. windshield provides expansive views, while the sloped hood further increases visibility. Mercedes-Benz AGS automatic, Eaton Fuller manual and Allison automatic transmissions, each with PTO capabilities, give you performance choices for your operational needs. The 1,000 sq. in. radiator on the M2 106V and the 1,200 sq. in. radiator on the M2 112V offer excellent cooling capacity. Air-ride seat provides a smooth, comfortable ride. Advanced air conditioning and heating system and insulation package protect against noise and temperature extremes. Standard leaf spring cab suspension and optional air-ride cab suspension further reduce road vibration for a smooth, comfortable ride.
