i dug my saturn out of moving boxes not too long ago and i relized why i never played it past a certain time. there is something wrong with the power supply. when i turn it on, the green POWER light comes on solid, then fades out, comes on solid, then fades out, on and on. Also, inside the saturn, I can hear some electronic noise - like a small chirp and a little click, maybe a short circuit? It seems as if the unit isn't getting full power, not enough to spin the disc. Anyone know any electrical person who would know more? How I could fix it? I kept it bc there is a shit load of saved game data on it and I didn't just wanna buy a new one from the flea market without actually trying to fix my own first. Any ideas techies?and go

sounds like either a fan motor or the disc drive motortake it apart and visually inspect the board for loose components. you could also unplug it and put an ohmeter between VDD and GND terminals to see if you have a power short, but I doubt that you have one that would show up - otherwise it would've popped
