To all people interested, the prices are the same at all peak fitnesses next week for 25 dollars. Also if you pay in full you get a cheaper rate. The rates after you sign will never go up and that is a specific clause. You have access to all the 18 gyms in the area. There are allot of freebees that you don't get at the gym. Some of the gyms are also 24 hours but just check out the website.

I also workout at planet fitness but it does not give the same perks and there are only a two places you can attend. Also they need to upgrade and get rid of the ECU colors and the gym is kind of dirty. I know for a fact that at least we have a cleaner on sight all the time. The basic membership at Planet runs around 10 and they are more now. It not a bad gym but its not worth the travel for me and the area really is ghetto. My neighbors had is car broken into and he parked just outside of the gym. I also worked out at 02 but you better have 50+ a month ready and a long contract and the same applies to Impact, and Life Time Fitness. We also do MTM and have discounts for college students.

There is also free food and some free stuff as well from local businesses from before.
I'm here to be honest but its entirely up to you. I'm not here to screw anyone but help you guys out if you like. It is up to you if you want to come. Just let me know and I'll see you there and if not I hope you guys have a great summer and take care.

Planet Fitness is 10 times cleaner than Peak Fitness unless something has drastically changed in the last 6 months.

Gold's gym is also a better deal for someone looking for a well maintained corporate gym.

hey, Well I just started working at Peak Fitness and I based on the local gyms I've been to its much better. Planet is not where I'd workout and unless Planet has cleaned up the mildew and stuff since last week then I guess its not a bad deal. I'm not keen on a buzer, area, atomosphere but its all up to you. I still workout there once or twice a year if I have no other place to go. Its cheap price kind of reflects its quality. At least I know that at Peak they are improving things like flooring, foundation, upgrade equitment, tvs, saunas, pools, and bunch of other things. I can even match the ten dollars a month so either way I would choose this gym. In all honesty I would go to the NCSU gym the planet or golds gym. The gold gym lock you into long contracts and screw up billing as well. Also Peak is about to buy them all up!!!

In any case if you got cash then go to impact or life time fitness b/c they've got all the bells and whistles for a cool 50+ dollars. But good luck to everyone and hope you find what you are looking for.

Gold's Gym sucks - their management, customer service, everything....especially when you cancel your membership after a contract is up and they keep drafting your account.....i had to take them to court to get my $$$$ back...


i love the YMCA tho - $4/month....heheh no contracts....right across from work and home...

hey, Thanks to everyone I had tons of people ready to come by. I hope I can help you guys out more. I had problems with old Beyond Fitness and I actually was about to take them to court as well but they returned my money back with interest. Well take care and good luck to everyone. I go to Peak in Cary for 25/month... I really like the place. Steam Room, Dry Sauna, Large Jacuzzi, and they just added tanning... Not to bad. Definitely need to go more often.

Total bullshit. Their plans are very similar to Peak Fitness, except they offer facilities across the country and have no intentions of selling out to Peak. People that have billing issues with them are the same people that have financial problems with everything they sign a piece of paper for.

Peak will go belly up within the next 10 years.
