I hate acronyms that are made up beacuse it's a word somewhat related to the cause.... but I also hate acronyms that are a stretch... Shouldn't this be something more like TIPSA?

^^ when I took it in MD it covered the bartender's + restaurant's liability with regards to over serving, how to card, how to tell when someone's drunk, and how to cut someone off.

Yup that is basically it... It helps with the bars/clubs insurance.

So instead of having training in place like most restaurants do for that sort of thing, they are outsourcing to places like this. Every restaurant and bar I have ever worked in had a special training programs just for serving alcohol this.

Well our lawyer gave us the training - the material came from an outside agency
