6/12/2007 12:24:18 AM
yes. what are you doing with the mm? i need a cheap trailer winch.
6/12/2007 12:29:29 AM
you have one in your garage!
6/12/2007 12:31:49 AM
nah, that's my ram's winch. don't need a 12k on a trailer.[Edited on June 12, 2007 at 12:34 AM. Reason : .]
6/12/2007 12:34:12 AM
oh...i dunno yet. i havent bought the 9000, but im thinking about it. i really want the new warn with the air compressor, but thats $texas
6/12/2007 12:37:09 AM
word. well lemme know if you decide to sell it. otherwise i'm just going to buy one of those cheap ass 8k ramsey knock offs from harbor freight.
6/12/2007 12:39:24 AM
i need to figure out what to offer the seller... its like 800 new, never really been used except to put the synthetic line on it... i dunno.
6/12/2007 12:50:04 AM
jeepman got his really cheap, like $450 or something on CL[Edited on June 12, 2007 at 11:51 AM. Reason : or was his a 9.5?]
6/12/2007 11:50:38 AM
mine is a 9.5xp, but it had no cable. i did get it for 450 though
6/12/2007 3:27:56 PM
The 9.5ti is a badass winch.
6/12/2007 5:04:58 PM
RCH has the 9.5ti for $925 the cheapest I've seen it for
6/13/2007 3:46:55 PM
hey i need a new winch controller for my junk, ran over the shit at work today while doing a "recovery"
6/26/2007 10:45:42 PM
just get a pimp in cab controller from SeaBass44 on pirate.
6/26/2007 10:50:01 PM
jesus i avoid that place, im on enough forums already
6/26/2007 10:59:02 PM
well, you could ditch all the gay ones like CROC and actually be on a usefull/cool one. seriously though, dude makes some really sweet looking custom electrical panels of all kinds, one of which being in cab winch controllers. prices aren't bad.[Edited on June 26, 2007 at 11:02 PM. Reason : .]
6/26/2007 11:01:39 PM
here's his site:http://www.12voltguy.com/http://www.12voltguy.com/incabwinch.htmhttp://www.12voltguy.com/winchcontrolbutton.htm[Edited on June 26, 2007 at 11:19 PM. Reason : .]
6/26/2007 11:17:18 PM
im thinking of ditching most of my rover infact and going rover buggy.
6/26/2007 11:20:28 PM
i think that would be the fun way to go. what kinda plans would you be thinking of?
6/26/2007 11:28:34 PM
tearing all the shit off my truck and putting it on a buggy
6/27/2007 12:25:13 AM
technically, that's a cab truck, not a buggy. should be cool though, something different.[Edited on June 27, 2007 at 12:34 AM. Reason : .]
6/27/2007 12:32:40 AM
yeah i know, actually a buggy to me is what everyone else calls a shopping cart so
6/27/2007 12:48:46 AM
haha, true. that's why i usually call them a tube chassis.
6/27/2007 1:08:24 AM
trube chassis hows that
6/27/2007 1:21:58 AM
do like that yellow disco, thats all jungle gymed out. used to be a full body on 40's its kinda cool.
6/27/2007 8:07:37 AM
^x9 that seems really simple to make for maybe $15 at radio shack (moslty because the arming switches are $10)[Edited on June 27, 2007 at 8:10 AM. Reason : colter]
6/27/2007 8:10:22 AM
^ agreeed, plus i will still need a controller for winching outside the vehicle... mine is pretty fubar^^ thats jordan, he made the sliders and rear bumper on my truck and did all the tube work on the white one above
6/27/2007 9:10:58 AM
^^i'd be surprised if you could make a replica of what he sells for $15. arming switch might be $10, but you've still got the momentary switches, chrome plate, and lets not forget the nifty "winch" decal. then you've still got to consider the hassle of making the thing. pretty sure his stuff is all of marine grade quality too.^why do you really need an external controller? i can think of very few situations where it's really advantageous. unless you can find a used one, i bet those things are $texas for a replacement. i don't really know though. you could always make something too if the connector and pigtail is still decent. if it'll fit, you're welcome to borrow my controller since i won't be using it any time soon. my winch is just a rebadged MM, so it should work.
6/27/2007 11:00:00 AM
no, not a replica, but one that will work the same without the fancy chrome or decals. I made one for my jeep using the a metal door kicker. I'm not saying his isn't worth it if you want the frills. Mine was "marine quality" too...aka heat shrink and hot glue to seal it all up.
6/27/2007 11:09:39 AM
true. for me personally, it's just not worth saving the ~$20 or so when you consider running around for parts and taking the time to make it. plus, i suck at electrical stuff anyway. i made all of the switched stuff in my ram before, but this time around i'll probably just order panels.
6/27/2007 12:16:37 PM
SO WHERE CAN I BUY A NEW WINCH CONTROLLER
6/28/2007 2:00:15 AM
what kinda winch is it?is the plug and wire still good? i'd go down to grainger and get a pushbutton controller to put on there[Edited on June 28, 2007 at 8:11 AM. Reason : its called a pendant station controller for industrial stuff fyi]
6/28/2007 8:11:03 AM
its just like matts, a noname 8 or 9 thousandhow much is the pushbutton contoller at grainger? maybe ill buy a harbor freight winch and swap the controller out for mine, then return it .
6/28/2007 9:03:33 AM
is it a power in out, mor just a single pushbutton? i may have something laying around here
6/28/2007 9:18:06 AM
6/28/2007 9:25:24 AM
matt's high class, he gots a warn now. seriously, just go get my controller if you're set on having an external one. it's going to be a long time before i need it, and you can probably just have it. i'm planning on doing an in cab controller.[Edited on June 28, 2007 at 10:22 AM. Reason : .]
6/28/2007 10:22:25 AM
i think they sell them seperatly at northern in cary and at agri-supply in 70 in garner
