my parents are looking for a home site. they've been looking for a while now and haven't found the right property so i thought i'd post on here just in case anybody knows of anything. now that their house is sold (yesterday) they are getting antsy.they're looking for anything between 5-50 acres (dep on price of course), they really want some water (a pond, stream, reservoir, etc), mostly wooded and a little bit cleared. anything within a 30 min radius of rocky mount is possible.they've already talked to various realtors, a timber cruiser, and a developer.*crosses fingers*

Nash County is no different than anywhere else. It is what you make of it. I truly enjoyed growing up there. Mountain biking, swimming holes, field parties, and punk rock.

well Im from the nash county side of rocky mount, so maybe its different out in the country, but: there was no mountain biking, in fact my diamondback got stolen, the only swimming hole was the elephant hole, and some odd stream area beside us 64 and I-95, i went skinny dipping then had secks on the rocks down there, every field party i went to got busted by the sheriffs, or some dumbass was throwing it on a pissed off farmers land without informing the rest of us (ie my senior party) and I was one of 5 people I knew in the whole county that were into punk rock.

Things must have turned to shit after I left Rocky Mount because my experience was very different. I guess my generation ruined it for you. p.s. I'm from RM too. Never lived in the country.[Edited on June 11, 2007 at 2:47 AM. Reason : .]
