yeah i mean....10k rpm is nice, the larger the cache the better. umm i've had 2 wds die and 2 last 5+ yearsi have a seagate running 24/7 in my dvr e-sata drive w/ no fan and its straight.

Picked up a Maxtor 500GB for $99 online a few weeks ago.Yeah, I know, Maxtor. But they are supposedly owned by Seagate now and now offer the same warranties.

i have a ata 200 gb seagate on its last legsthe SMART data is telling me that it will fail in the next 24 hoursso i turned the computer off about 3 weeks ago and have been too lazy to start the rma processlucky for me, i have a raid 1
